With so much information and a variety of worthwhile resources, it’s hard to choose which aspect of YoungEntrepreneur.com is my hands-down favorite. The Young Entrepreneur forum provides a platform for users to ask questions, garner feedback, offer advice, and take part in the rapidly growing trend of young startups and entrepreneurs. The myriad of well-written, niche articles offer all the basics for Entrepreneurship 101 and provide information on pretty much all things business, from internet marketing to conducting international business. Furthermore, the blog (managed by Evan Carmichael) is an entrepreneur’s dream – fresh, new content daily designed to help you grow and nurture your business.
Ok, so I lied. I do have a favorite part of website: Entrepreneurship University, a weekly post where experts (a.k.a. successful entrepreneurs and business leaders) share advice, experiences, and life lessons. What better place to glean valuable and beneficial information that can help you and your business than from those who have achieved what you are diligently and incessantly striving for?
Struggling with your business model? Want to learn more about personnel policies? How about finding ways to reduce costs and overhead? Check out YoungEntrepreneur.com.

This is a website maintaining a forum and a blog which acts as a great resource for entrepreneurs; I do not know why they added ‘young’ to their domain name though (maybe an availability issue). Although it is useful for entrepreneurs, it lacks the focus on young minds, which I thought it would have going by its domain name. Still, it serves as a decent tool for those who are fraying not only into the online entrepreneurship stream but also real world entrepreneurship. It is a great platform where millions of people visit for their daily inspiration. They have specific articles on SEOs, using Twitter to enhance business and other valuable posts in their blog. Moreover, they have now started profiling successful entrepreneurs in their drive to motivate other minds. It is a very interactive blog. They accept the readers’ suggestions on which entrepreneur to profile in their blog each week. So if your response is approved, they even ask to enter your URL, which could be a good way to drive traffic. Although YoungEntrepreneur.com only has a page rank of 4, yet it is the top most search result in Google you get when you search for ‘youth entrepreneurship’ or likewise. The forum that they host is also a very good and popular forum, which is active for many users. The best part of the forum is the fact that users once registered can post their own blogs on the website relating to their entrepreneurship ventures. This adds real functionality to the forum and is rather innovative. It is a site that can motivate you towards the goal of entrepreneurship and meet other users who are like-minded to yourself.

I found a great new site today called Young Entrepreneur. How refreshing it was to find a community out there that addresses some fundamental questions that entrepreneurs ask themselves on a daily basis! As I read through the articles, I was even more pleasantly surprised to find the writers get to the root of an entrepreneur’s real emotional challenges. This is a blog worth visiting on a regular basis. Many of the topics have answers to real questions that need to be addressed before diving head first into a new venture. Topics of articles such as “what are the sure fire ways to know if your business will work or not?” and “how to stay motivated” as well as “when is it time to go full time with your business?” These are all topics that any entrepreneur will find both practical and helpful. The site is easy to read and use and has a simple layout. I like the way they have included an “Entrepreneur Interviews” section where they highlight guest entrepreneurs. This is a great way to learn more about like-minded entrepreneurs and hear their best practices, however I would like to see more female entrepreneurs highlighted in this section, since there are a ton of them out there! I think my favorite part about the site is the “Entrepreneur polls” section. They have really done a nice job of getting some great poll surveys completed, and the topics range from understanding “how to market your business on Twitter” to “how to stay motivated.” I look forward to seeing more polls and scanning these weekly. Overall, a great find (through Twitter!) and as I stumble through new found social media sites, I have to say that these guys deserve a bravo for taking the initiative to start such a great blog that addresses real entrepreneur issues. I hope my book readers will take the time to visit this site as well.

One of the tools I often call upon is the advice of Young Entrepreneur. Whether you are a seasoned serial entrepreneur or starting your very first small business, Young Entrepreneur has something to help you grow. They are an online community of sorts that provides advice and a space for people to exchange business ideas. Young Entrepreneur has an active forum community with a wide variety of topics and active discussions. Perhaps, one of the most helpful parts about Young Entrepreneur is the blog they maintain. The blog has many interviews and advice columns, as well as a series of profile pieces on successful business figures. They often run various surveys and posts about trends in the business world. The staff also provides helpful tips and analyses for search engine optimization and Internet marketing. So if you find yourself ever in need of a little inspiration, some helpful advice, or just looking for a new blog to follow, check out the blog at YoungEntrepeneur.com

As entrepreneurs we are constantly looking for sources to help us learn from other people’s experiences. Stories about how they succeeded or failed, have tons of insights, and can greatly benefit entrepreneurs getting into business for the first time. With a proliferation of blogs in the blogosphere today, we are spoiled for choice. There are, however, a couple of sources that I have marked with higher importance and www.youngentrepreneur.com happens to be one of them. Their website provides first time entrepreneurs, as well as seasoned entrepreneurs, with a wealth of information regarding the starting up process. Initially, I subscribed to their blog, but now, I have also started using their forum. This site provides entrepreneurs with a place not only to meet like-minded individuals, but to also share experiences and information, a mutually beneficial exercise. Some of my personal favorite articles from their website are:
- The Top 20 Startup Mistakes
- Best Way For A Startup To Earn Revenue?
- 5 Sure-fire Ways To Know If Your Business Will Work Or Not
The website also provides you with access to legal document templates, videos, as well as a market place to find products and services related to starting up your business. Check out their blog at http://www.youngentrepreneur.com/blog

For most entrepreneurs a steep learning curve is involved when you enter the online world for the first time. Fortunately there are a lot of online resources that help you navigate this new adventure. One of these is the YoungEntrepreneur Blog – managed by Evan Carmichael and dedicated to providing information and advice to entrepreneurs around the world. There are a lot of different categories of interest and tons of great articles but there is one particular feature that it offers that I think is unique and very cool – SEO (search engine optimization) advice. Each week they review a different site and provide concrete advice and suggestions as to what the owner can do to improve the site’s ranking. Take a look at the most recent review. Theres lots more to browse at this blog. Trying to hash out the copy for your site? Take a look at How to Create Effective Content for Your Website. Are you still in the preliminary planning stages? Check out How To Name Your Company – it may give you some ideas (or rule some out) when deciding on a name for your business. Once you’ve soaked up everything the blog has to offer, head over to the YoungEntrepreneur Forums to connect with other like-minded individuals.

YoungEntrepreneur.com is at the top of my reading list. This web resource is packed with consistent entrepreneurial content seasoned by a thought leading perspective. Exploring topics that range from negotiation and SEO optimization to lessons from famous entrepreneurs and business savvy. Another great asset is the young entrepreneur forum. You can post questions, gather feedback on various aspects of business, and offer advice to those needing it; it’s simply a great online community.
I’ve been looking for Entrepreneurial sites that offer quality, quality, quality and surprisingly, there is a very short supply in the blogosphere. YoungEntrepreneur.com is an exception. Here are 10 links at YoungEntrepreneur.com guaranteed to impact you positively:
- “How to Avoid Entrepreneurial Burnout”
- “Feeling it in your bones”
- “How to increase your cash flow”
- “Delegation at Work”
- “How to turn customers into walking advertisements” – A lesson from J.C. Penney
- “Entrepreneurship is about Survival”
- “Persue your passion” – A story on Pierre Omidyar (founder of eBay)
- “Are you a big picture guy?” – Great piece on Jim Sinegal (founder of Costco)
- “Hang out with people better than you” – Warren Buffet
- “are you really ready to grow your company?” – Adam Toren (founder of YoungEntrepreneur)
Please take time to come back and read through each of these posts. As entrepreneurs, I firmly believe study is foundational to our success. Show me a successful entrepreneur, and I’ll show you a lifelong student.

As a dedicated boarder or skater, I’m sure one of your goals each year is to do more of what you do best; tricks, jumps, rails, waves etc. The only way to accomplish this is to spend more time at the park or hill (or lake if you’re a water lover!) If only that pesky job wasn’t in the way, it would be easy right? Well, why don’t you start your own thing? A staggering number of people are doing just that – taking their career matters into their own hands, and I bet you they are on the hills as I write this!!! I found this resource for Entrepreneurs – It’s AWESOME!!! the Young Entrepreneur Blog (http://www.youngentrepreneur.com/blog). A superb resource, I don’t really suggest starting anywhere in particular (hit all the spots!), but make sure you check out the SEO review section (under internet marketing)- a different website is reviewed and then offered ways to improve their web ranking (so cool!). Another great spot is the Modeling Masters section – profiles on today’s (and yesterdays) greatest business people, and their advice on how to succeed in the wacky world of entrepreneurship! Make sure you sign up to the Young Entrepreneur forum and then you can post questions, ask for feedback, offer your own advice and experience and become a part of this growing phenom of Youth Executives. Promise me though, that once you’ve come up with your idea, and started your business, you’ll come back to FreshPow! and have a custom FreshFace done up to pimp out your new venture in style! We’ll even help you celebrate by giving you 10% off a custom (a.k.a. your logo) FreshFace! (p.s. Proof of business registration required.) Cheers to more time on the hills or in the parks (or in the water!)

The folks over at Young Entrepreneur’s blog (YEB) have been kind enough to review the structure of my blog in exchange for a review and link to their blog. Happy to oblige! This is a blog I subscribe to and read on a regular basis because of their solid content. I started reading YEB because I am young(ish?) and an entrepreneur, for the most part. I figured, hey, this thing must be written for me. From what I’ve read, I’m guessing that the staff doesn’t have a long history of starting and raising successful companies. I don’t say this because the advice is bad, I say it because it had more of a “Hey, let’s get together and figure this out” feeling rather than an “I’ve done this and this is what works for me” feeling. Nothing wrong with that at all, it’s a great way to build community. After a while, I really wanted to read about people who had really made it and how it all came together for them. Coincidentally enough, YEB started interviewing experts more and posting words from famous business starters from all different industries. Perfect! I read the blog for the interviews and the Entrepreneur University section, for the most part. They include write-ups about other things but the unique content they provide me are the sound bytes. Thanks YEB! Keep it going!

Recently I was Micro blogging on a new website I found called Blellow.com, when one of the members posted a link to YoungEntrepreneur.com. The article that attracted my attention was entitled “The Top 10 Mistakes People Make When Starting A Business” a fantastic read and a real eye opener, even if you have been in business for a while there are several lessons you would do well to learn from this article, and a few that you may have forgotten about. I continued to browse and found another two practical and informative articles: “5 Sure-fire Ways To Know If Your Business Will Work Or Not” and this one was equally good “Want To Stay Motivated? Avoid Doing These 5 Things”. I am not just giving this blog credit, it really is that good. To all my clients and regular visitors, especially the small business entrepreneurs, that I consult with for your website and marketing both off and online. I suggest you head on over to YoungEntrepreneur.com and take a leaf out of their Blog. Here are 4 great reasons why you would want to visit this Blog:
- Fresh new content everyday – (That means you could learn something new every day.)
- Motivation – (Running a small business is tough, so to receive sound advice, to help us keep believing we made the right choice to quit our day job and be our own boss is invaluable.)
- Reflection – (In a world where business is constantly evolving, wee need to keep our finger on the pulse, here you can pick up new ideas and trends to help you stay ahead of the pack, gone are the days of …”Well it worked for the last 20 years so why change a good thing, WRONG !, change is the only certain variable now.)
- Your own personal board of advisers – (People with vast experience give advice here and beside 2 heads or more… is definitely better than one, so why turn down free advice.)
So head on over and you be the judge of whether YoungEntrepreneur.com is worth their salt, I was impressed that’s for sure.

I love good blogs, and an important indicator for me is a blog’s insight. Good information is important, but good insight is the ability to communicate the information in a different and compelling way. Insight is the one or two sentences you read the whole book for. One blog that has good insight is YoungEntrepreneur . This blog reminds me of my previous post, “Hire Slow, Fire Fast”. Finding good blogs is similar to finding good employees in that you can find good blogs by reading good blogs, and you always have to fire, or remove the lowest 10%. I guess the parallels stop there. YoungEntrepreneur is worth the reading just for their Modeling Masters section alone. In this section you get small nuggets of entrepreneurial gold from the masters of business. From Warren Buffet, “The business schools reward difficult complex behavior more than simple behavior, but simple behavior is more effective.” From John H. Johnson “Dream small dreams. If you make them too big, you get overwhelmed and you don’t do anything.”. Tasty, I know! Read the Modeling Masters section alone and see if you aren’t locked on the screen for 30 minutes. I happen to be a young entrepreneur, and they really pegged me good as their target audience. In my opinion, this is a much more useful site, in my current stage, than many other highly touted ramblings. Thanks for the blog YoungEntrepreneur, and keep the insight coming.

One of my favorite sites out there is the main site and the blog for youngentrepreneur.com. The blog is a tremendous source of information for people launching their own businesses for the first time. It covers internet marketing, startup financing, networking, web design for traffic, time management, branding and more. They invite guest bloggers and interview successful entrepreneurs, gleaning and sharing tips for newbies. The “Entrepreneur University” category includes guest posts from top-notch marketing professionals. The best thing about the Young Entrepreneur Blog—it is free! You don’t have to be a member, or pay for “premium” content. Anyone can take advantage of learning from the collective wisdom of experts gathered by youngentrepreneur.com.
