Biography

From a humble background, born in informal settlements of KwaZulu-Natal. Worked as a part-time building construction worker. Forced to be a taxi driver for a duration of his LLB studies, Siphile did not give up. Completed articles in 2008 at Bowman Gilfillan Inc (Sandton office), after rotating in Corporate, Construction & Engineering and Tax Law. Appointed as an Associate in 2009 at Bowman Gilfillan Inc. In 2010, accepted as a Fellow of The Cyrus R. Vance Centre for International Justice in New York City. In October 2010 joined Davis Polk & Wardwell LLP in New York City as a foreign Lawyer in Credit and Capital Markets. Siphile is currently completing his research report for an LLM in commercial law at Wits University. Siphile is an aspiring enterpreneur, currently searching for business partners and opportunities.
