In my last post, I was at the beginning stage of actually getting my car service up and running after securing capital financing. As an update; my business is now registered and I have obtained my federal I.D. (EIN).
I am carefully vetting the first vehicle, eventhough, I have found a 2005 Grand Caravan that is perfect for my intended use. I am in negotiations about price.
I have been granted a bit of luck as well. I have an inside line on providing Medicaid transportation as an independent contractor.
My greatest challenge thusfar is obtaining livery insurance. I spent several hours on the phone with local insurance agents and brokers trying to acquire quotes. I have found three possibilities so far.
Starting a Business, any business, poses challenges; but I anticipate experiencing the exhilaration of placing the signs on my vehicle and transporting my first customer as a small business owner.
