Website Stuff.. clueless.

Hey,
I am sitting here trying to figure out where to go (from where I am now).

I have a brand (a few actually), logo, target market, TONS of designs, general marketing/publicity campaign ideas, etc...

I know I'll need to trademark/copyright everything
(= lawyer?), website(= host, designer) and a manufacturer, and that's where I freeze.

---I have (what I think) is a brilliant, never done idea to expand - some different sort of a franchise - once the shirts and shoes biz gets rolling for me.---

How much should I plan on investing for a nice website, comparable to http://www.royalelastics.com?
* Quality Building ... $?
*Monthly Hosting ... $?
*Anything I'm missing / overhead ... $?
I could maintain it once launched, but I want to keep the really technical stuff to a professional (as I know only basic html and css... nothing to build this type of site).

I'd hate to think I have too many things on my hands at the moment..
but that's how it feels.
It's fun. I just think I need some guidance

Any feedback given will be appreciated, as I really want to get this started!

You're lookin in the thousands as far as a website of that quality. Thats advanced flash, and very time consuming. Hosting is cheap. Assuming you don't know flash, you would not be able to edit it yourself. Designers could really hit you up as far as the updating goes. As far as manufacturers, I have no idea. You definitely would need to see a lawyer if your serious about your business.

Best of Luck to You,
Matt

I'd like to read what other members may have to say, if they have similar experience.

Hi,

I have a web design firm here in Manila, Philippines and I would like to help you out. Right now the best way to develop your site and launch it without spending gazillions of dollars is to have it outsourced.

My company is focused on working with home base, small, medium enterprises in the US and Asia to get their online presence started and more (since we also have graphic design services).

I like what you want to do and I want to help you achieve it. SHoot me an email at errole@gmail.com and let's work something out on how we can get your foot off the ground.

Thank you and have a great day!

About trademarking, Check out the very helpful USPATO site
http://www.uspto.gov/go/tac/doc/basic/howtofile.htm
You will understand your lawyer more by reading up on it first...

On website design, look around, there are a lot of web designers online, you can go for a large web design company too. Just make sure that they get along well with you. Rapport and good communication with your designers will make your life much more easier.

Make it strong! Good luck!

Thanks, the link was helpful.
I also just realized that my uncle in Mew York runs a design and hosting company, I''m getting in touch with him ASAP.

Appreciate it,
