Start Online Business Content

In an effort to give visitors what they really want I thought this might be a good place to pick your brain to find out what people that do business online really want/need to know about when they first get started with their business. Please forgive me if you think it's inappropriate to ask, but I figured the best approach would be to determine what online users really want. Any and all feedback would be appreciated.

I think it depends on the market, the biggest thing in a online business is customer service and keeping in contact with buyers. They want to know that you received there payment, it's been shipped, and a tracking number.

Depending on what you sell, you may be able to drop a note or business card in the box as a personal touch.

Website based business have the same needs as traditional offline business

Websites simply have to go about the process of meetings these needs in a slightly different manner, that's all.

1. a structured plan that allows for change and flexibility as the company grows

2. a way to research your intended market.

3. seed money to start up with - wether it's $50 to hire a wheelbarrow to sell apples, or $5 million to buy a roomful of fancy-schmancy IT equipment, you have to have something to start with

4. a series of methods designed to let people know you're around - marketing, marketing, marketing

5. a well-instructed, motivated staff - whether it's a team of 1, or 1,000

6. great customer service. If the clients don't return, the business will die...

Business itself hasn't really changed - just the method of getting the business done!

Good luck with your business!
