New oppertunity

This is not an advertisement. We have all seen matchmaking and adting sites... I just came across an unique site where business partners are matched... meaning if u have a project idea and is looking for an investor or an investor looking for some unique concepts this is the right kind of place to check out. The site is ideally named BusinessPartnerMatch and also have strong guidelines on business plan designing. It also has about 7-8 flash based calculators for various roi, net return, conversion rate etc. calculations. please do check www.businesspartnermatch.com and let me know if you like the site.

Thanks...

Certainly, how can you expect us to offer your post any credibility when you can't spell "opportunity"?

haha, let's give the fella a break

that site is shit

matchmakers have been around forever, and they suck

no investors tolerate taking money off the table

matchmakers want a % of the round - that's why they suck

capital has to go to work - not to brokers

don't believe me? go and ask how your garden variety vc feels about matchmaking shops

here's an example of what i mean: http://www.antiventurecapital.com/imageAMC.JPG

from http://www.antiventurecapital.com/avcguide.html

America's Fastest Growing Industry?

This problem of capital scarcity for early stage companies is so prevalent that you may have begun to notice that there are literally thousands of people in the business of "helping" entrepreneurs raise money. At least that's what they lead you to believe. They have taken their cue from the Gold Rush when the truly crafty business-people made money not from prospecting but by selling shovels to the prospectors. Likewise, today's money-raising services have found a low risk means to separate the cash-starved entrepreneur from any money he or she may have left. They do so in many ways:

* Matching Services: We'll match your project with one of our many accredited angel investors. Call now! Operators are standing by! Just $199 to register.

* Business Plan Services: We'll write a business plan for you which will attract funding. Only $999.

* Finders: I can help you raise money for a fee…and, by the way, I require a retainer up-front.

* Money-Raising Bootcamps: Attend our weekend bootcamp for $1,195, and you'll discover that it's not what you know but who you know that counts when it comes to raising money.

My two personal favorites are:

* Online Business Plan Repositories: Post your b-plan on our site for 6 months. Only $59.

* Venture Capital Directories: VC's are waiting to fund you! For just $49 you can buy our CD directory with 12,952,734 venture capital firms listed on it. (How these can sell in the age of Internet search engines is beyond me. PT Barnum was correct about a sucker being "born every minute".)

In a nutshell, most of these middle-man services don't work in 99% of instances. This is also why they won't tell you the Three Dirty Little Secrets of Raising Capital.

Lesson: put very little faith in these services and never pay up-front fees.

Hey Akula...

Mind yr language man... its all so easy to hide behind a pc and type whatever... even i can type shit all over your lat lucking lace ( replace "l" with "f" )...

a. the site is free...meaning totally free... no where there is a mention of any charges.. however i believe that a platform always deserves a remuneration after successful contact or conclusion of business... eBay never sucks... they charge u brokerage for every deal.... Google never sucks..they charge you for every click.... brokerage is an integral part of the industrial process...

b. the site is launched by IIT and IIm Grads doing successful business and not just posting / copy-pasting in forums all day

c. the site is for fellow business grads and not for spammers like you...

and lastly... why not go and get a life... ( don't replace the "l" here )

Whats with all the offensiveness on this forum? I remember the good old days where you could have a decent discussion without someone taking advice and suggestions way too personally when all the other people are trying to do is give advice.

Anyway, Jacksparrow, I like your website but I think it would be more suitable for people who are interested in starting a business but have no education or experence at running a business (especially the calculators and the stuff about business plans).

I can see how the actual 'business partner matching' could come in useful but I've looked for a business partner so I can't really comment

I can't believe I just read that! Jack, learn a little about who you intend to insult before you actually insult them. Akula has done more for this forum and the people on it than you ever will and I usually find that the advice and opinions that he gives are correct.

Jack, learn to accept advice, take criticism and listen to opinions. After all, you did ask for our opinions on your website.
