Well I looked around a little bit and here is what I found and would sugjust you look around here first.

"The USPTO public forum for invention promoters/promotion firm complaints and responses

While the USPTO does not investigate complaints or participate in any legal proceedings against invention promoters/promotion firms, under the American Inventors Protection Act of 1999, [PDF] the USPTO will provide a public forum for the publication of complaints concerning invention promoters/promotion firms. Also, in the forum, the USPTO will publish responses to the complaints from the invention promoters/promotion firms. "

Not that it is very likely to be fruitful, even if you do manage to reach the administrator.

What is the nature of your complaint?

Ok, typically, you have one year from the time you share you patent to others to when you lose the right to patent. The thing to remember though is that the patent office will not be scouring discussion groups looking for any reference to your idea. If no one else has filed for the patent, and the invention is patentable (not a very high percentage are) then you "probably" still have the option to patent. If you wait long enough though and your idea truly enters the public domain, then you will almost certainly lose the ability to patent.

Have you done a patent search yet? That should be your first step when determining whether getting a patent is even a valid option.

Ok this isnt legal advice but its what i understand the laws to be. When the patent office says Public Property it means something that anyone in the public can obtain i.e newspaper article brochures ect or it could be a trade show ect. Public property ISNT showing your friends a piece of paper with your idea on it and asking for advice.

How did you disclose the information about your idea? I might be able to help you some more

Regards Mick
