My Plan. "I will revolutionize tha fashion and manufacturing industry"

Hi all,

My plan is create a fashion group as big as LVMH. I will be its main competitor.... :-) sound difficult I know...

But I will do in other way, not retail, not shops.. I will only sell online, and the different and innovate point of this company I want to run will be the following idea:

Who will be the designers? "the customers"

How will they design their own cloths? in a software on the web, in the home site they will create their own fashion and this software will go sincronize with the manufacturing companies I work with and my suppliers.

The customers will have a virtual wardrobe, they not only will desing and buy, they will be able to keep their creations in their virtual wardrobe, and customers will be able to buy cloths from another customers, this means that a small % of reveneu will go for the customer that created the cloth and the other reveneu is for the company.

Each person will be able to be designer.

As kotler woul say:
"Think in Globlal, act in local"

I have already written a truly potencial business plan focused in bags, good market, and nothing to see with the companies that offer only the possibility to change the colour of the bag...This company will good more faraway than that.

I am trying to create a more advanced step than "just in time".

In this lines I told u the basic concepts, what do you think?

Of course I need help, I would like to contact with people that know about design pattern and fashion manufacturing companies and of course I would like to have feedback about this idea... at last you never know where you will find your partners :-)

Regards

I don't hate the idea, though it would take a VERY long time to generate enough interest.

I would recommend proofreading your work so that you come across as professional as possible.

Is it sort of like threadless.com, where customers design their own T-shirts, except that your product lines would be much broader?

What if I say that a lot of people who buy clothes actually don't want to design their own clothes. Rather, they want to buy DKNY, Gucci, Burberry, Hermes, Hugo Boss, YSL, etc. because they want either the names, or they like clothes designed by well-known designers? In addition, most people would not have the experience or skills to design something more complicated than a T-shirt. How would you respond to those comments?

Most people do not care to design their own clothes. They lack either the time or the intelligence to sit there and design clothing. This service would apply, however, to small businesses interested in selling their own clothes. The biggest question would be quality. If you can guarantee quality, you will have demand. If the quality will vary (as it usually does with Asian production and "cloning" companies), then I sincerely doubt you will have much luck.

If you would like a more in-depth analysis, feel free to PM me. I have been interested in working with another fashion industry startup. If done correctly, this is a great industry to focus on. If folly is involved, then it is nothing but a waste of time and investors' money.

The concept/idea, under the right circumstances, seems to work well though. Look at:
