Hey, many wealthy people say that bankruptcy was the best thing that happened to them. They mean, they learned huge lessons, had a totally different respect for money, thought things through a little more and built up those emotional muscles of being that far DOWN. T. Harv Eker of the Millionaire Mind, Robert Kiyosaki of Rich Dad, Poor Dad, are just naming a few. Its all how you look at it.

On the other hand, do it for the right reasons. Call the lenders, tell them your situation, they will work with you. Be upfront and honest. What I am saying is if you are $2000 in the hole with no job, you better not be claiming bankruptcy. Just change your attitude (if only to make you feel better which is really all that matters) and figure out a solution. Best of Luck

Edit: I dont believe Robert Kiyosaki of Rich Dad, Poor Dad went bankrupt, but thats because he was living in his car. He had nothing to lose and all to gain.

    Dave Ramsey...

Listen / read / watch his stuff. You will see there are people out there that are probably worse off than you, and they are getting out of it.

I have read My Total Money Makeover by him, and its a great book (in debt or not). His show is on Fox Business channel, and it just has viewers (and listeners) calling in with their stories.

Great point. I can only imagine how tough this may be for you, but think of this as an opportunity (albeit a very tough one) to learn and reflect on what you have done correctly and what you would do differently in the future. Sometimes it is the toughest trials we go through that not only make us the strongest, but teach us the most.

So Jase since this a community we are supposed to trust. Who what where when why and how do you make £30,000 in one hour of work a weekend. This is your site you are advertising (debtfreein2months.com) as Benjamins answer to his problems. So stop hoarding your personal money printing machine and share with the community.

I have a question? Why you guys look at other peoples situations and assume that it`s going to help you? No two situations are alike, people are driven by different things and quite frankly if you follow someone else's path you will be thrown off course in an entirely different ending point. My suggestion is be tenacious, be yourself and most importantly think outside the box - that is the ONLY thing all these people have in common, the ones who succeed. So what, you are now down on your luck? As is 80% of America and the rest of the World. Buck up, quit feeling sorry for yourself and do something about it. One thing I have learn through all the mistakes I have made, push through things as long as possible, regardless of how shitty the situation is, and things will improve. Things always have a way of working out.

Biggest suggestion - don't follow all these links people are dropping, they are all made to make someone else rich. You need to be original, creative and most important you will need to work hard to get out of it. But whatever you do, do it quick and do it often.

    Best of luck, big guy.
