Lightbulb Free Business Card offer?

Who has seen the ads out there from Vista Print announcing free business cards? Has anyone utilized their service? What was your experience like? As promised or were there a few surprises? What do you think of this concept?

Thumbs up

Hey Adam,

I used Vista Print to make my business cards. I didn't use the free offer (although that's what attracted me in the first place--smart marketing).

The 250 free cards, while perfectly acceptable, didn't allow you to change the location of the words, or the fonts, and they only had 30 or so styles available.

So, I spent some extra money and got a more customizable package, which was worth it.

Just to give you some idea (it was a while ago), I remember spending about 50 dollars total for 500 cards, 100 mailing labels, a pretty nice business card holder, and shipping.

I'm a satisfied customer, I guess.

I've ordered business cards on two occasions (different ventures).

I also went with the upgraded package/customization (added my own logo etc...) ended up being around $30-$40 in the end I believe. You can opt to pay extra in the end to have your order priority bumped up to get printed faster which is what increased my order big time because I needed the cards asap.

I recommend paying extra to remove the vistaprint ad on the back and get the better paper (glossy?). I found a coupon code on the net somewhere and got 90% off one of the upgrades, so it pays to do a little searching before you order.

I've gotten the free service (not exactly free coz had to pay for shipping). The cards received were of decent quality, but of course, there are limitations to the designs you can have.

I have a friend who used Vista Print, they did a good job, but you do still have to pay for printing. My design for my corporate image (business cards, evelopes, etc.) I got from WHT and took it to a local printing place and they printed them out. I still use them and they look great.

They dont' do a bad job - I know many people who have gotten it - you have to pay about $8.00 for shipping but that is it. If you're looking for some cards in a hurry and you don't care if they are designed well or not - then it'll be great! If you need professional design with full color high gloss cards - start looking other places! Perhaps someone in the forums offers this type of service *wink*

Yes you have some stuff, however I would pick the close to free option though. It's better if you look at it from an ecocmnic stand point.

You mean you'd rather have poorly designed cards instead of good, impressive ones? I guess that's a matter of opinion.

Of course a full color card doesn't make sense for a lawyer - but for an auto dealer, stereo shop, coffee stand, etc. - it makes perfect sense

Yes lawyers need realtivily simple cards, but look at this web site:

http://njmedlawyer.com ( a client of mine )

He wanted a real nice web site, and I think he got it.

That is actually a very nice site - however when you're in the site and you change pages, the music starts over on each page - it's like getting socked in the head each time you click a link

Yes, a lot of people comment about that. InfoCreek is going to send him a new one so it does not repeat as often.

Mike,

Are you a developer yourself or do you outsource all the work to InfoCreek?
