So I think one thing a lot of us new entrepreneurs overlook is creating the vision for your business -- so, seeing entirely what you are looking to build/create before you do it.

This is what makes writing your business plan easy. Without knowing your Small Business Vision, it's soo difficult to actually sit down and write the Business Plan.

Figuring out what you really want for every aspect of your business, why you are doing it, and then visualizing your successful business the way you want can help speed the process. And visualization can also help your actions become more efficient and productive.

I have an article on how to create a basic vision, but it's not letting me post a link. So email me if you want it and I'll forward.

Also, I'm going to be leading a workshop this Monday 7/13 in Manhattan, "Discover Your Vision for Your Small Business." If you're in the NYC area and want to go, email me.

So basically, asking yourself what you want your business to be, how it will fit into your life, not only what the biz will accomplish, but how it will bring you the things you need/want for your own life -- that's important. Because otherwise it just grows in its own direction, which might not be the direction you'd prefer.
