Barter Exchanges?

I have been hearing more and more about these barter clubs and exchanges? The only issue I have is, which one is the best? There seems to be a rapidly growing market for these barter clubs which makes it difficult to find out who is the best.

Is this barter exchange a good thing?

What are your experiences with Bartering through these organizations?

Thanks.

You exchange goods are services with another individual or company. For example I was trying to barter web services(design, domains, hosting) for legal services(contract reviews).

The only one that I was able to find was barteradvantage.com and it's sort of a confusing site. I was thinking it was going to have more of an eBay feel (something that just looks like a huge trading ground - not JUST like eBay...) Do you have any personal recommendations Mr. Sprocket?

Once we launch our full site we will allow bartering in Related Offers & Requests froum.

We allow it now, but the response might not be huge

Here are a few I found. It seems some of the sites I used are not around anymore or have gone to a paid membership.

http://www.shebarters.com
http://www.youcanbarter.com
http://www.web-barter.com
http://www.ehorsetraders.com

There is a few on some sites for the contact info of the seller.

YouCanBarter.com looked like the only one that was busy at all.

This is a cool concept though. Thanks Mr Sprocket for showing me that.

Steve that was one of my problems with the barter exchanges. The free ones are not very busy. I would like to see some of the paid sites offer a trial membership to see if a larger system works well.
