If you've the funds available I would always recommend registering an LLC for each entity.

I'll agree with the last poster. Run multiple LLCs to protect each business, and yourself, from the others. Sole proprietorships leave you open to personal liability from the business.

Wink Don't have to do anything!

You asked if you "have to" do LLC for each website. The truth is you don't have to do anything at all. What should you do is more accurate. LLC's are an inexpensive way to protect yourself if done right. What most people fail to do though is have insurance which is an accepted business practice. What exactly that is for with your site in your circumstance, I don't know. Probably E&O (look it up), and possibly some other form of insurance for the website and it's customers (hacking, data theft etc.).

What i am trying to say is that if you don't do your basics to protect yourself, the LLC is a real thin "veil" of protection. Also, how the LLC is set up is important too. We'll have a webinar in February on choosing entities etc. with a couple of attorneys and tax accountants.

    Hope this helps.
