    Question notice by media situation

    Hi
question , can any one have a good answer to this type of situation

if a company /employer had fired an employee then makes a notice to a local newspaper that that employee is no longer associated with the company and includes the offenses that employee during the time of work

how can that employee clear a bad credit /or image in that manner in order to get employ in another company by job interview?

is theirs a law to this?

    thanks

Yep, that would be absolutely stupid for an employer to do, just based on the potential for liability.

Agreed with the other comments, that can absolutely open up the employer to the liability of a lawsuit.

If a prospective employer calls a previous employer, previous employers are usually hesitant to give any information other than confirming that an applicant has worked there in the past. This is to avoid any lawsuit liability.

So if prospective employers are hesitant enough to give this information over the telephone, I'd imagine making this public can cause A LOT of trouble for them.
