    Thumbs up Looking for advice/help...

    Good afternoon YE social entrepreneurs,

My name's Tommy and me and a friend of mine are looking to start a non-profit dedicated to financially contributing to the research curing the many health issues that plague the women of the world. Our mothers, sisters, aunts, nieces, cousins and grandmothers arguably the back bones of our lives. We are dedicated to our mission, but developing a cause and having the passion is only half the battle.

So basically I need a business plan. I know that was a little long to get to this but I just wanted to provide some background information. If any could please let me know what kind of things we could include in our business plan. I've just emailed the score office in Chicago and I hope to hear from them soon but we are just trying to get as much helpful information as possible. So if you could we would really appreciate it.

    Tommy

you need to do lots of research first ... talk to your target market and see if there are any problems that constantly come up, i.e. ask people what their 5 biggest complaints are about [blank] ... then turn that into a question to identify if there is a need for this by going out and asking even more people ... afterwards you can start researching the market to see if there are products/services already out there that do what you all plan on doing as well as more industry analysis to see if you'd even be able to run a non-profit proficiently enough

knowing your customer is the biggest thing though so i suggest you focus in on that and do that better than anyone else and you should have no problem, though the knowing part will be hard

That is a noble intention, I hope you can make it come true. I also think that the two answers above have given good insights for your next steps.
