I hate Wal-Mart
I live in a small town and in another nearby town there is the Super Center Wal-Mart. Basically it's the only retail store that has trust worthy products.
Though the products are fine, the service is horrible. For instance, in the electronics department I was looking for a new cell phone so naturally I had questions. There was a girl, an employee standing there right in front of me flirting with the guy from another department. She looked at me but looked away. I asked her if she had a phone in stock and she simply lied and told me no. How do I know she lied? I called from the store parking lot later asking if they had it in stock. Sure enough, they had a whole box in the back. The girl employee was too lazy to go check and was hoping I would go away so she could continue flirting with her co-worker. It's not just that, customers get in the way, and employees are inconsiderate. They are cheap by having just two cashiers on a very busy Pay Day Friday. By the time I leave Wal-Mart, I am ticked off, have a headache and feel sick. Of course I continue to go there because Wal-Mart rules the world and all the little business have to give up. I have no choice.

Hi Librazoe 1982,
Why don't you speak with the manager on duty there? I am sure that manager will help you as one of their customers.

Unfortunately people sacrifice customer service for price. Especially with the current state of the economy, consumers care more about price than service right now.
Of course there is always a threshold. If there is a market opportunity to provide similar products at a higher price, but with better service, then you have a new business. However, I doubt this is the case. People are content to give up service for low prices.

God, that is SO frustrating. I live in a place with a lot of other options and it's still tempting to go to Wal-Mart if only for the all-in-one-place factor. But the monopoly is getting crazy, and with gas prices being what they are, it's harder than ever to shop around. Before you had to go and shop at a bunch of little stores, paying more for the privilege, but knowing you were "Doing the right thing". Now, though, it's costing a LOT more to shop around, especially in a situation like yours.
Thoughts are with you on that one. Yuck.

Those employees are inconsiderate and irresponsible. You should go back and file a complaint. Talk to their supervisor and let's see what will happen next.

Why is buying a phone on the internet not an option for you? Can you not wait 5 days for shipping?

As a former Wal-Mart employee, you think your getting bad service when you come in. Trust me, as employees, we're treated just like shyt as well for lack of better terms.
For instance: We can't work overtime, if we do, we get penalized or get in trouble. At the same time, on the topic of over time, if we're off the clock, we CANNOT help you customers. I bet Wal-Mart didn't tell you that one. Sorry, we're not on the clock so by company policy, we're not allowed to help you out.
Its the whole Wal-Mart policy that sucks!

You are right, but it is our fault. We can not expect good service from people that don't really make enough money to live on. There employees are not the best because as you stated they are CHEAP, they can not even keep checkout lanes open with employees they don't pay anything. At some point, we are going to have to pay more for products made in the USA! Also at the same time we need to raise the minimum wage to a living wage. Then we can expect good service with accountability, or as you stated we will ALL have no choice, and no money for that matter.

Only necessities should be bought at walmart, electronics, furniture and so on can be bought online. More then likely it would be cheaper and you dont have to go to the store and see that the item is not in stock.

Wow, they barely speak english? If that is true they are just not willing to pay people that speak good english. I don't have a problem with ANY american working in any place in america, but everyone needs to make a decent living, or we will pay some other way.
