I am finally seeing the business value in Twitter

I have to admit, when I first saw Twitter 2 years ago, I thought it was a useless web site. Just the fact that you can microblog at 140 characters max just did not appeal to me. Plus, I did not need to know what other people eat for breakfast. I thought people who were on Twitter all the time had too much time on their hands. Now, I am on Twitter all the time and I have no time. LOL

I am always on Twitter now because I have found potential web design clients through it. So, why stop? I simply use Twitter's search to find potential followers that have common business interests as me. I follow them, they follow me, and we see each other's status.

So, when these people see my statuses and have hired me. Has anyone else had success with Twitter?

I have had a large amount of success with Twitter. I have been able to integrate it into a number of my ventures, and have actually started a new project based around teaching business owners and entrepreneurs how to effectively use Twitter for their business. My value from Twitter has been its searchability: I use it to find out what the latest computer problems are, and then buy the right PPC keywords.

I sell domain names that are related to Twit. It seems to be a great trend and people are happy with the names.

I just started experimenting with Twitter and it's been working quite well for me. At first I had the same feelings as you did about microblogging, but I've come to realize that it is a great tool for social networking.

I am still at that level when I think that people who are on Twitter have too much time. Although I read a lot about it and a lot of success stories from different people, I still cannot find the time to spend on Twitter. I hope to see that value too...
