Well, after seven months my site if finally up and running. I'm not at all happy with the way it turned out. I'm planning on having the site redone one more time.

Welcome GoGets.com!
SEO
WEb Design
Original Content
Classifieds
Articles
Directories

The site is supposed to be a place where small businesses can go to find all the services they need to grow their company. We have an Search Engine Optimization affiliate, Web Design affiliate, and a content development affiliate. The site also has over 6,000,000 directory listings and a place where you can post articles about your company.

The site has over 20,000 registered members and about 65,000 different articles.

I'm not at all excited about this site..... so before I go and spend more money on it I need a direction. I thought I was a little more clear with my developers about what I wanted... but hell it took 5 different developers to get me this far and I still have a longgggggg ass way to go.

I know in my mind what I want the site to be someday... but it isn't there yet... Oh and their is a free classifieds section.. if you can figure out how to use it please let me know... i yi yi

If you are a developer I have a MySQL db (it is now very large) and the site is php... I'm on a hosted DMS but would consider leaving it if I needed too.

It just has a little bit too much going on at the home page. Also, the articles section is the same way. Just a little too many categories and subcategories going on there.

I'm no expert but that's just what I noticed.

I agree. There is too much happening on the homepage. Your general lack of direction is made obvious as the user enters on that page. Before you do anymore coding, I would lock yourself in a cafe with a pen and paper and map out exactly what you want your site to be. It sounds like you've done a great job of building a user base I think you just need to narrow down your direction and simplify.

I like it. There is a lot to swallow on the home page. But content is king anyway right?

"Friendly User Interface" does not exist.

You need to organize your content better. Less upfront, let your users search for what they want.

I think at this point, you need to focus on your site aesthetically before you continue on the functionality.

Consult with designers and get ideas.

I agree with all these posts... the design of the homepage is where it all starts... you can't even tell what the hell the site is about.... I'm looking for a new developer to give this site one more try... fn seven months of work and its less then half done
