Cool Strong Startup - Unique Business - 23 Yrs Old

Hi - My name is Justin and I am a 23 year old small business owner. I caught the entrepreneur bug while taking business classes in college. Starting a business is the only option for my future, for I refuse to make money for the man and be a corporate bug.

Anyways, I am looking for some general feedback and also trying to generate interest in my online ordering business, Foodpatio LLC. I started this company when I was 20 and have really experienced some success recently.

We offer online ordering solutions for restaurants. We serve over 18 clients and are currently expanding.

You can check out our site at Foodpatio: Order Online and our most recent client's site at Wheat State Pizza | Welcome

Being young, it can sometimes be difficult to find quality resources. I am so happy I found this site and am able to meet like minded people.

Please feel free to leave feedback about the company and to ask any questions.

We are also looking to hire

Foodpatio: Order Online
Wheat State Pizza | Welcome

Thanks - Justin

I think you forgot the link to your website. But when I googled your name I arrived at a website which looked like it was set up for a web designer who sells his skills intergrating restaurant websites with online ordering. From your description I thought your website was a central hub for ordering food online for everyday consumers to use. It had a blue background & a single page.

I'm guessing that most people who visit your website would be referred or have met you in person and heard about your site. So browers are looking for information on your site. You would want to provide them with some things to help make potential clients feel comfortable. I think they would like to see an "About" Page, "testimonials" from previous clients, an easy contact form or quote form, potential estimates and a range of services you can provide (IE Can I opt to just offer instant ice cream cone delivery, with a single one click button on my site? or do I have to take the whole deal like the pizza parlor has?) How does the receiving end work for the resturant? What sort of return policies or client satisfaction polices do you have. In short, work on makes your site a potential clients dream. Make them feel comfortable with you and help them want to trust you.

First of all, we don't just sell web design skills. Our online ordering engine is extremely technical and enriched in programming.

Second, sorry i forgot the links. The one page info sheet is just up temporarily. You can view our test site at Foodpatio: Order Online

You can also visit our most recent clients site at Wheat State Pizza | Welcome.

'We'll handle the cutting edge technology. You stay focused on what you know best, running your restaurant.' - lol, good one.

If it makes you clients, then good on you. No offence - but this kind of 'system' can be recreated through DHTML in a couple of hours and sold fully licensed for fifty to a hundred bucks. It's not over saturated, but new REAL cutting-edge companies are popping up over night offering the same with service with a couple of dozen developers.

Again, nothing against your 'complicated' system I just find it hilarious the way you slipped cutting edge into it espec. with the layout & everything.

Good luck, nevertheless.

You clearly have not done your research. Look at the competition and you will find nothing that even comes close to our system. Creating this system would take other developers at LEAST 6 months of full time work.

PS You should probably work on your literacy, spelling, and writing skills before you try and slam someone else's work.

Nevertheless, good luck in life.

LOL! Good one!
There are so many OS 'engines' like yours goin' around,
a couple of hours was probably an over-statement.

I think you are the one who is mistaken with research.

Cutting-edge

Good luck, again.

If you want to carry this on PM me.
I'll gladly point out a few companies
similar to yours, better presented &
much bigger clients list obv.
Don't get cocky mate, Javascript is
from innovative too.

Send me the language and I'll send you at least 5 links mate. LOL Cutting-edge. Take care now.
Don't be silly, if you're going to try and hot mouth me at least be serious. Java? Don't get ahead of yourself kid. Your 'engine' doesn't go further than Javascript API and Microsoft SQL'ing. For boasting such a complicated system I was expecting at least some serious server-side scripting.

I don't understand how you can claim the code would take 6 months of developing, when you copied most of your scripts from the internet. It's still a mystery to me. I should of checked the simplicity of the scripts earlier, the cutting-edge just gets funnier. I can't see any dhtml interactivity worth mentioning and the design is appalling and outdated.

The concept of your start-up is pretty good, you have a target market with little competition if developed. I understand that the 'cutting-edge' is merely copy to attract customers - what I don't like is you taking YE for fools and using the same copy on entrepreneurs whom in most cases are much more experienced than you. There is nothing cutting-edge or complicated about your system. The Ajax components are for lesser advanced web UI and comparing your scripting to Java is ludicrous. Before you even begin talking about investment or interest, try and develop the engine to come at least close to your claims.
