g'day everyone!

I have a brand new site.
It's making good progress but is still in early stages.

It covers/will cover the themes of

1 Business and entrepreneurism and everything that goes with it..
2 Living a productive, driven, goal-orientated life, lifehacks etc
3 Health and Fitness - footy, boxing, running, nutrition etc

>Knowledge base. I have plans on creating a knowledge and discussions base around these themes where users share what they know and can ask questions (something similar to here i guess)

What do you think about this idea? feedback is appreciated (i will look into monetizing the site later once i have an established community/user-base) and content!

Hi Harry,

Looking at the topics you are looking to cover I think you could build a solid community, however big communities are hard to develop with so many people online already in established communities and new people going to the established ones for obvious reasons.

As for your site: the design is very bland and uninspiring, considering the topics you are covering the design needs gentle fresh colors and pictures of smiling, relaxed people, not grey and black blocks.

Also; when you first visit your website it just immediately shows your latest post. I would start it with a clean title and statement about what the site is about, then a very short paragraph mentioning what the community covers and why its worth joining.

One tip I would give you is to get a few of your friends involved, this will help a lot as you can start an instantly active community (albeit with only a few people), so other visitors will see activity. I bought an established website last year where a few friends had built up the site together, as a result it is a great site and has been in the UK national newspapers and is a very successful site.

Sorry to sound a bit harsh btw in relation to your design but if you want to succeed then honesty instead of nicey-nicey is needed

Not a big fan at all. Is there a reason you chose to focus on these three areas? Especially when compared to picking one niche and focusing on it?

Yeah certainly. I considered sticking to a niche.

However, I want Runreality to reflect more factors of a lifestyle than a singular topic..
I believe if i do it right, these three themes can be linked and related to eachother quite nicely.

To keep interested in writing new content i thought i'd go for a slightly more well-rounded route and write a mixture of what I'm passionate about. (Not that I've written much yet) - the site's only a few days old and I'm still learning the ropes of Drupal, the content management platform I'm using.
