1. You are doing a Graphic Design Community site. You should go and ask yourself as a graphical person is your site attractive? If you ask me from the scale of 1 - 10 (best), you just got yourself a 2.
2. Navigation is off and some link without any landing page.
3. Black and white color usage is too contrast and somewhat too boring. You are using the black color to bring out the elegant look?
4. Required plenty of changes.

OK, font small. Did you actually change it in the style sheet at all? Bring it up one notch. The other thing is, it's powered by subdreamer. Did you actually pay for the CMS? Sorry, btw. First time I looked at it I thought those were all project postings, not news.
Anyway, I am curious... why subdreamer?
