whats with the footer coming up on the right side of the screen in firefox? (home page)
(donate now) thinking should be left aligned
(home page) just being picky - the "fire writing" doesn't start at the beginning
and stops before the end (flash part)

1. No flashy logo on the center - replace with a more of human touch - picture of human or people receiving those aids from your charity. You are providing a business for charity so should be something more down to earth for your user to buy it.
2. Instead of the Car picture, the picture of children or elderly benefit from the charity organization will be of better use.
3. Overall a good marketing point as more people are buying into the idea to help the community however having that many Donate button on the same page view might piss people off before they can even read up the article you want to present to them. From the look on the whole site, 3 Donate now button is good enough, 1 on the top left is fine, with 1 in the middle and last one on the BOTTOM.
4. Put in some picture that relate back to the article you are presenting, trees, children and elderly or sometimes even wars victims, the poor and sick help a lots as well. You might think that this might sound a bit cruel but hey if this sell, able to put money on your pocket and at the same time able to really help those organization then it work!

Check your site for grammar and spelling. On the "about us" page alone there are a couple grammatical errors.

I agree with 1,2, and 4: I have to disagree with #3- It has become an accepted marketing fundamental that repeating something three time gives you a higher return on your message.
I like my flash intro but I carried that over from when my site was geared towards the charities and not the donors. Damn… I love that thing… but I agree it’s got to go. I was thinking about putting a YouTube Video there of me talking about the donation process. What do you all think about that?

Damn I guess both my developer and I are both dyslexic. I’ll have someone proof read the site before I start marketing it in March.

Yes very very good idea but make sure your site load fast enough even with the youtube thing. If you don't want to rearrange your donate then at least make one at the bottom. Your page is too long. Remember you want to make thing as convenient as possible for your user and that include without having them to scroll to the top again to click on the donate button.

Also I don't know if you meant to do this but the image on the homepage is not using enough colors. Notice the round slide -- it looks like 2 colors instead of one.
If you're trying to load it faster try saving it by using the "save for web" feature of graphic editors and that should make it look better depending on how fast you want it to load.

I guess I never saw the flash intro. But I don't like many of them and you don't want to look that sophisticated in this case. But a playground? There has to be something on the page that explains why that's there unless it's a placeholder. If you have any photos of people who have received a car, that would be the killer.
First and foremost to those who land there you WANT TO SHOW WHERE THAT MONEY GOES AND WHAT IT MEANS. That visitor has to feel that connection that his/her donation is IMPORTANT.
Visual: So you need a visual of some sort, a car with a family next to it if possible. "Thanks to people like you, more adults are able to hold a steady job and support their families because they have the necessary transportation." Something of that nature. That's a quickie and may be long, but just to illustrate a point.
This is what you're going for and it IS THE KEY ELEMENT FOR THIS PAGE. Screw colors and margins, focus FIRST on the message. You make that emotional connection, you get more donations. It's a feel good thing.
Even if it looks like pure childish crap, with a pro bono site, you need that emotional outreach connection. If you have no program results yet, borrow results from another program. You can caption it as a program in another area and yours has just started. If you can't show a family, just show a car, not a fancy one, parked at a place of business. The audience has to know that transportation is a vital contribution to someone in need. Tell them how it helps people and how grateful these people are to have it. That is the visceral nerve you need to hit. This will make an enormous difference.
Your donation= a great result that has made a significant impact in someone's life.
