eh sounds like you could run a bunch of polls on presidency and make a shit load of money with it if you know what you are doing.

do you know what you are doing though?

Of the thousands of people that try stuff like that every year, one or two make back the money they invest in marketing.
The real way to make money is to buy worthless domain names for $6 and sell them to aspiring "entrepreneurs" for $20.

I will give you a special price on the following domains.

    walkforobama.com
    flyforobama.com
    eatforbush.com
    jumpforclinton.ok
    pukeformccain.com
    regurgitateforromney.com
    do-the-hustle-for kennedy.huh
    do-a-line-for-bush.com
    hillaryscloset.com
These domains are only $30 each for you. But don't tell anyone else.

    Why not:

    1. Start a blog (try Wordpress.com or Blogger.com so you don't have to worry too much about website design), then point your website domain to it.
    2. Write a mini-article of 150+ words each day, and invite people to comment on your articles.
    3. Put up 3 or 4 videos on YouTube.com and Google Videos giving 'A Young Outsider's View of American Internal Politics', and make sure that you have lots of links pointing back to your website domain.
    4. Add simple polls, competitions for the best Obama-related cartoon drawn by readers of your website, and Obama-related quotes that you find in newspapers (make sure that you always credit the source to avoid plagiarism).

All of these things will build up lots of traffic if you do them consistently. Now you've got traffic, time to monetise the site...

    1. Try Adsense adverts from Google.com (see the top of this page - YoungEntrepreneurs.com have these adverts everywhere)
    2. Make up some silly Obama-related slogans to print onto buttons or cards sold via CafePress.com or Zazzle.com.

With a little time and imagination you could make good use of this domain. But hurry! American politics moves quickly and Obama may not be the Political Prince of Pop for much longer!

    Good luck!
Wishing you great success in your business,

    Andrea

The name is certainly very topical.
Unless you know how to create a website (or know people who do) you might be best to start a blog and put Google Adense ads on it to make some money.
You really are only to have between now and next January (basically 9 months) to milk the name.
I think a blog is your best bet. And Adsense.
