I'm not a big fan. When I go to a website, I want to immediately see a quick explanation of what the site is about. Often, if it's not right in front of my face, I won't spend time looking any further. Just a short two or three sentence introduction could explain to users what you're about, what problems you solve, etc.

your site is cool. it's pretty much generic more for a corporate site, which is cool. I don't think additional corporate summary on the homepage is needed for a corporate IT firm. I think the way it's right now it's cool, you probably just need to market and promote what you do, the service you offer and your solutions, and then may be as time goes, post case study summaries on the homepage summarizing the work you've done and the names of clients you've helped solve their problems.

By the way, welcome to YE. I love SA, been there many times, will also be there on the 22nd of December. Good luck on your new venture!

Many thanks to all of you guys for the feedback and advice. I have made some in-road inprovements to the website regarding the services and solutions the new company will render online. I have attracted quite a number of few people world-wide and caught the eye of top players in the related target market. I am stepping the pace a little bit more and get more people involved in the company's envisioned services and products.

Usakos, your feedback is well received. Could not do this without your advice The company will open its doors on the 01st January 2008. For the time being we are, however, organizing documentation regarding our online solutions and services in the form of overview documentation. Please do check that if you have an apportunity.

Zoobie, it is good to have met you on this forum. Your feedback is well received too The website inspires everytime I work on it to create a sound platform for my new company.

Hi Allysa,

Tested the website speed and it takes 4 seconds to load which I think is not that bad - will try to reduce the seconds to something lower. Thanks a lot for the feedback regarding the website - I am improving it daily and putting more descriptive content on it as well.

Usakos - I am in Cape Town, just below the Table Mountain - summer here is fabulous. I live in Rosebank next to the train station makes one hell of a noise tho Xhosa speaking...

Hey guys,

I am busy testing the registration procedure for the website for subscription to our solutions and services. You can logon to Page redirect...

This is the behaviour expected:

1. You will logon to the website using the url specified above
2. Click on the Register link on the homepage
3. Fill in the form
4. Click Save when done
5. An email will be sent to your registered email address after a successful registration with an activation link, please close the registration form and access your email.
6. Click the activation link to activate your account (sent to your registered email address)
7. After a successful activation, you will be able to login and access your session home page [This is still under development]
8. You can also test the Forgot Password functionality if you feel you have time. Please do keep the registration details safe.

You can post any feedback regarding the above and what you felt took too long and what needs to be improved.

I will remove your registration after 3 days (This is only for testing...)
