Pre-Launch Site

Hey Everyone!

I have been working on my site, Fearless Business
It will be pre-launching sometime next week. It is basically a resource guide for entrepreneurs, start-ups, vc's, and service providers. While there is not much content on the page yet (will do next week), give it a look and let me know what you think. Thanks!

Hi there,

I like the website it has alot of potential. I know that you said it needs more content, so I believe you should be fine on that. I would consider adding some brighter colors to make it more appeasing to incoming traffic. The background has a forest green color scheme, which I feel could altered. Keep up the work it will pay off.

Basically, the logo is dull and the colour red is not used enough (it only appears in the nav bar etc.) I'm not saying mine is completely better...it's not - was just done quickly to show the effect of lightening it up and using more colour!

I like the design, but I was looking through the source code and you ahve like 100 lines of code, but theres like 1000 lines (literally) between some of the code... why is that?

Knifely: I tried reconfiguring multiple times. I think its a bug within the platform that I am using. There's no real reason for it, as long as it is not affecting the site, I don't have a problem.

Fearless Business: A resource for entrepreneurs, start-ups, and service providers.

Also, any NYC entrepreneurs/start-ups interested in being interviewed? We can video and supply the video to you. A great for the both of us to market!

Good amount of content on the front page. The right side seems bleek. Perhaps adding advertisements would even that out.

I would alter the colors a bit. I'd make it brighter and easier to read. Also, I think that you should combine the two side bars into one. This way your website looks like it has more content. I think that if you market this website properly it will be a very profitable asset.

The content is good - the design is horrible. The logo is blurry and breaks all typographic rules (too many fonts, kerning not right) What CMS are you using?

For this type of site you should be using Wordpress

Sean: The right side contains my twitter feed. It may not have uploaded on your page. I will be getting into advertising eventually.

Maziy300: Thx. I will definitely consider the color scheme. Not too sure what you mean about the two side bars...?

I think there are lot of black elemants on your website... Try to use other colors.

Well as you're using Wordpress you should be able to find a theme that will look 100 times better than what you have atm. Try something like "Thesis" which is highly customisable and actually designed by a designer.

hey, i've looked into that. Didn't really find one that appealed to me...i'll keep looking though. I'm concentrating on updating content all the time. Feel free to put in your input!
