First thanks for the feedback bin really waiting for a while.

Basically what we do is we have a database of around 10.000+ willingly subscribed individuals from my town which has a population of around 30.000+ individuals.
We send them updates 3 times per week concerning every new thing which is happening in town for example job openings, discounts, sales etc.

I think it would be a good idea to put some of the news content about the town on the site in addition to the newsletter. Some people prefer getting there news on the web and others via a newsletter. Maybe some of the people that did not signup might have been interested in a web format. If they like the content of your site afterwards they are more likely to be interested in the newsletter.

Right now I think people not familiar with your company might hesitate to give you there email without more information about the actual content of the newsletter. In addition having more content on the site will help you get better result in SEO and rank higher in Google for terms say like Conventry. Therefore some people that are not aware of your services might find out about you.

Another angle to look at is that someone comming to visit Coventry might be interested in the news you will publish but might not be interested in the newsletter as they are just passing by. I think that if you take the time to create good content you should promote it via as many way as possible to get maximum exposure.

You could easily setup a Wordpress to do that and it should not be too much additional work for you guys to update the site frequently as you already have content.
