Please review my blog

I've had my blog up for a week now (still very young), but I thought I would get some feedback.

Money Management And You

The template is free, so it is not a custom design. My main focus write now is building strong regular traffic. If you have any ideas of how to do this efficiently please let me know.

Thanks for your time

nope, no good. the critical problem is that anonymous blogs do not get added to my rss reader

other than that, there's some minor problems - such as the lengths of your posts, lack of topic focus, and your inability to hyperlink to other bloggers and reference material

i'd reconsider you taking the anonymous approach. use a pseudonym if you're really paranoid...but it's important for me to know who you are and where you work if i'm gonna read your financial analysis

Ok I got rid of the anonymity, I didn't really like it very much anyways.

What is wrong with the length of the posts?

The topics may seem a little scattered right now, but I'm just trying to cover the basics of money management in the beginning and this includes a lot of different topics.

I'll be sure it reference more blogs in the future, but I find that somewhat difficult since right now I'm trying to cover topics on my own. Though I'm sure this will change in the future once basic concepts have been discussed and I graduate to a more discussion style of writing.

Thanks for the help, I really do appreciate it

Hi there,

Great job! Nice looking and you picked a good subject. One that you like and feel comfortable talking about.

I subscribed to you on my Feedburner, to get you going! :-)

If you want, go to the first site in my sig, and post in there. You'll get a link and be picked up by the search engines.

As for building readership - that is always difficult. People have very little time in their lives, and are very choosy where they spend their time. It has to be highly relevant and considered very valuable. My own family (my son) and friends don't go to my blog. They don't care. I get about 700,000 visits a year and only 200 or so people have subscribed. Such is life.

So, it takes time, work, and a good product. Give it a try and experiment. Make sure you have Google Analytics in your footer so you can analyze who is coming, from where they are coming, how they are finding you, and how much time they are spending where. It really helps.

Frequent different forums to pick up ideas, and let them know about your blog. A good blog can be placed on Digg.

I hope you are enjoying yourself, and good luck!

Rich

Hi there,

Yes, Digg is difficult, but at least you get a link in the search engines.

Remember to go to links.links.com. It will give you another link, since it is a dofollow. Everything is indexed within a day.

Good luck and let me know if I can help you out.

Rich
