Pics or Shens

Alright, so I went a long time just thinking about how I could bring my idea to life. I spent much of my time browsing these forums, for ideas and suggestions. I finally decided that my best route would be to hire a coder through RAC. This turned out to be a great idea. I got my whole website coded for a very reasonable price. The only downside of this was communication was a little rough, and there is quite a bit of "engrish", so to speak, on the site that I will need to fix.

The concept behind the site, is that it is just a site where people can come and complete many fun and funny tasks for points. I got this idea from games on forums that were very similar to this, but were never organized.

Before I officially lauch this site, and start advertising it, what would be the best way for me to advertise this? What improvements does it need (obviously besides gramar, I may also get the graphics redone, eventually) Also, please keep in mind that some parts of the site are still under construction.

Did you think about your target audience and where you could target them online?

Yes, My target audience are teens and young adults (ages 15-25)

I have thought about my advertising options, but I was just curious what others would suggest.

Find websites which match that criteria.

Federated Media - Advertising Platform

Just a few sites really. Im sure they are stacks more.

Try getting some blogs talking about it too, which are related.

Also, I think you need to define your audience more. I know for sure that there are ALOT of people in that age bracket not into what you are offering.

Thanks a lot! It is kind of hard to narrow my audience even more. It seems that this type of website/ activities appeal to a wide variety of personalities.

Yes. I need to work on that. Now that I have the basic structure of the site, I am going to work on making it more flashy/ entertaining..

Haha... I explain it in the about section of the site:

Pics or Shens, short for pictures or shenanigans, is a popular demand on the internet. Roughly translated it means "show images of said topic or I will consider your claim to be false."

So to answer your question, it is just short for shenanigans
