Photography site
Here's a site I made for my father. At first I used a very nice Flash-based delivery for the gallery, but removed it until I could fix the RSS feed to automatically take his photos off Flickr. In the meantime I'm using a less visually stimulating javascript gallery (still looks nice IMO).
I threw the design together in Photoshop and coded it myself in a matter of a few evenings.
The store design is still coming along as I learn more about Zencart...
Let me know what you think. Constructive criticism welcome.

Very clean. Not much to it, but I like it nonetheless.

I'm a flash developer myself. I love the concept of it, and the contents great but I'm not too keen on the graphics. Nevertheless the minimalist look goes well with it, it just doesn't have that professional feeling. Perhaps a change of background, fonts and a logo would do the job. And some of the content needs to be layed out better on non-flash pages. If you'd like any help just pm me.

Thanks guys.
I had been using the very popular "DFgallery", a flash version, which is basically a slideshowpro imitation. I liked it a lot but couldn't get their Flickr RSS to work so instead am using the Javascript based gallery you see here in the meantime.
I throw up a new design all the time - this one just this week. I'm not crazy about the font either. I've got so many fonts, it's hard to decide. I will probably ditch the horizontal black line, use some new font, and perhaps come up with a logo.
I wanted a minimalist look because the content - the photos, are the most important part. Didn't want a lot of gaudy graphics and whatnot taking away from it.
I'm also setting up a blog for him to write about his various trips to take photographs more in detail - giving it a dynamic edge to pair with the static nature of the gallery.

Very clean and simple, I like it a lot. I also thinks it very soothing, as strange as that may sound. There is lots of gray, maybe a little color wouldn't hurt. I thought about what the site would look like with a header, but I am not sure that it would work well, unless it was very simple, because I think it would take away from the simple concept of the desgin, which I really like.

^^Thanks for the input.
I do think the horizontal black line needs to go, and I need to try some new fonts with the heading. In the past I have used headers, some with images, but always thought they took away from the rest of the page.
Stayed away from color since it's a black/white gallery and felt that would not fit in.
I've played around with various vertical striped backgrounds and like that one the best so far - going for something traditional/classy.

No header, it will remove the main purpose of the site - to focus on the images. If you're developing it in flash later, incorporate some interactivity and playfulness into the navigation. I love the way your images load though, it's very smooth and professional.
