Smile mymuto.com

Hi everyone,

I'd like some good, honest comments and suggestions about my site: mymuto.com

Site Summary:
We are an online marketplace of projects that members post and other members can bid on. The postings range from graphics arts and computer programming all the way to fashion and writing. Members are also encouraged to form teams on the site to bid on gigs as well. We also feature a feedback and reputation system.

Hope to hear from you and thanks

Decent design and layout. Wishing you success in an already crowded freelance market. What are you doing right now to market yourself and stand out against the competition?

i like it, you seem to try to present your service in a way thats different from the rest, but it's still a tough market

as far as your marketing goes, i'd say that focussing on simplicity and reliability is key in these things

Overall, a clean design. I like how you can sign in with your Google Account-very easy. It's a crowded market in the world of freelancing bids and gigs. I would try to incorporate an invoicing/office suite into it-to make keeping track of gigs/bids easier for freelancers. In that sense they wouldn't be leaving your site to sites like Zoho or Freshbooks. I wish you the best.

Thanks for your responses, suggestions, and well wishes.

One thing that makes us stand out compared to other sites is our team feature. We allow members to form teams on the site, create team member roles and permissions, and bid on gigs as a team. Its almost like creating your own consulting company without any legal hassle. This opens up multiple ways for people to make more money on the site. For example, you can have a traditional consulting company model where you designate roles for people to find gigs, teams to do the gigs, and others to do marketing. You could also do a recruiter type model where you can recruit individuals who don't want to find gigs for themselves to join your team, find gigs for them, and take a cut.

Also, our target audience is a little different. We really want to hit the college student crowd, since there are many talented and skilled people there that are strapped for cash, and housewives, many who were professionals before, decided to stay home to take care of the kids, and has time when the kids are school or sleeping to do gigs.

Just on a side note, make sure you cover all legal aspects to the whole team thing. Is the money split a certain way? If so, who gets what? Who owns the rights if they are designing a website? If a person leaves in the middle of the project, who gets their monetary cut-how will they get paid for work they did? Just some legal issues you may want to consider.

Im going to go along with everyone and say that it is a tough market for that, but at the same time visiting your site is waay more aesthetically pleasing and makes it more trustworthy than some of these other bidding sites ive seen out there.
