I built a blog called Eyes On The NFL and I hope to eventually purchase the URL and advertise on the site. Please tell me what I can do to make it better. Thanks.

Generally from a design point of view there is little to comment on, as you are using a standard blogger template. You may wish to use something a little more individual if you wish to push forward with turning it into a way of generating income.

Having said that there are a number of things that can be done to customise a blogger template to make it look a little less like a template:
• Have a top banner/ logo designed to replace the current text title
• Change colour scheme
•Change fonts

Have you considered setting up your blog with Wordpress instead? They offer far more choice when it comes to having a very individual design...as there are loads of templates out there, some bad, but many very good!

Yup. Step 1, switch to wordpress... Theres nothing we can do for you using blogger. Your best bet, get a domain name with hosting, set up up WP, have your blogger blog link to the new one.

Then you'll actually have the freedom to do more with the site.

If you get hosting thats runs Cpanel / Fantastico, you can actually set up wordpress by just using the mouse... No experience with php or mysql needed.

I changed the color scheme and such around so it makes it look more unique. I tried to find a free sports template but I couldn't find anything.

The content is good. The colors don't really match. Other than that, its a good blog site.

I think you should change your banner. The background of the banner makes the text a little hard to read. Plus, the plain text of the banner doesn't make it pop enough. There should be a nice contrast between the banner background and the text of the banner.

Try choosing a unique text and maybe put together a simple logo to make the name of your site stand out a little more, change the font color and consider, depending on how the font and logo looks, removing the banner background.
