Boring. No pictures or color to grab my attention. Give your site a "personality."

I like the layout you've got going, but john was right concerning the amount of pictures.

First of all, I will have a trouble finding something because of your "many" categories. Add some designs like colors, pictures, etc. to make it lively.

I have to disagree with the pics argument. Keeping a low profile on pics will speed up the load time. The more stuff you have the longer it will take to load, both with graphics and data. Dynamic data has to be spit out from a database, or at least from information stored in a database. The more stuff you add to that site as far as items for sale, the slower your DB will go. MySQL has come a long way, but you're still going to see a drastic reduction in performance at about 50-75 thousand entries (not individual items, but individual bits of data in the fields). Craigslist.com, even ebay, often try to make sure graphics are reduced as much as possible. eBay less than cl, but with a site like yours you'll also want to save the space for customers' pics.

If you want to get more people to your site and make them stay, focus on maybe one or two graphics, but get stuff listed by pounding the pavement, making calls. Make sure your software is working properly, it does some funny stuff in mozilla/netscape. I see you have SE friendly URLs turned on which is good. That will get you more listings in google and yahoo.

Allysa said she had problems finding stuff, I had problems with category pages loading in general.

What advantage does this site offer over other classifieds sites? There are thousands of them. Is it a reverse classifieds site?

First off i like the idea of your site, but the layout looks 90's.. as stated earlier you need to add color and pictures to give your site a personality.. with all the competition you need to surpass them with great content and a good layout.

Are you trying to go the craigslist route? If so then you are just a little disorganized (but on the right track).. Has anyone ever said they have problems with your site if they use Firefox? I can't seem to get any of the links to work... hmmm may just be me..

Yeah, I mentioned I had problems. I checked to see if it was just that I was running Linux - does funky things sometimes. Didn't work in firefox for Windows XP either.

    1. Website is too busy
    2. YourLooking.com? But why that domain name? But anyway it is okay.
    3. Like the content display (menus and help)
    3. White background blends nicely with your website design and structure but way too busy. Tip? Use something like a TAB/TABS to allow ease of navigation for a packed website.

Not bad though at all. Just look at the navigation & exploration - big problem for me. Give it some life...

He was probably just plugging his site.

The thing I find problems with in addition to the poor design is the bad grammar on the domain name.

What exactly is yourlooking? Don't you mean you're looking? therefore yourelooking.com?

    Either way, it's baaaad.
