Critique Appreciated
Hello,
My new e-commerce site AllBallz.Net (Please see link in signature) has finally launched. I am fairly happen with the design considering the budget. It was designed by cppowermods.com.
I would appreciate comments and criticism. Thanks in advance!

Hello Anthony,
Your site looks like it has the makings of a legit e-commerce site, but I have a few questions. Are you still working on getting the inventory listed, as numerous categories still have no products? My second question is: what is your plan to get traffic and purchases? What are you doing to differentiate yourself from sportsauthority.com , walmart.com or some other big players in this field?

Holy cow, my eyes started to water when I opened that up. You might want to tone down the crazy bright background.

allballz
This is only for constructive criticism.
My opinion is tone down the colors, possibly change the name (allballz sounds like a tough sports / energy drink), other than that I'd say add more inventory and finally change the banner at the top. Make it a bit easier going -- friendly.
I think the site other than that is laid out nicely, and I think you can attract alot of business. As a matter of fact, I like what you're doing and wish you plenty of luck! Look out for my PM.

Hello Anthony
Anthony, I think you did a pretty good job, of course I hope you get some more inventory in there as I only found a few items for sale.. Other than that, as previously stated, the orange background may have been just a little too much for my eyes to feel comfortable, I think you can do without it.
Good job and good luck!

Alright guys, I hear ya about the background. Any ideas on what could be a suitable replacement?
Thanks for the responses.
To answer the questions of shultice24:
Are you still working on getting the inventory listed, as numerous categories still have no products?
Definitely Yes! I have several, several more products that need to be added; just need the time. Also, currently in discussions with more suppliers over carrying their products.
what is your plan to get traffic and purchases?
We are going to target coaches from high schools as well as youth leagues in our area for now and whatever sales we can get from random traffic on the site. As we expand, we will rely more on comparison shopping sites such as Shopping.Com and Google Products. Then as cash flow (hopefully) increases, we can afford a new site design that will give us with a site better suited to Search Engine Optimization and the like.
What are you doing to differentiate yourself from sportsauthority.com , walmart.com or some other big players in this field?
We are going after youth leagues, tournaments, high schools, and colleges around the country. Institutions such as these purchase in large quantities and we can offer them discounted rates. If they were to go to a local big-box store or their online component, they would pay full price for their products each and every time. We hope to change that via AllBallz.Net.

I like it, but it's very specific. My question is what are you planning on doing to persuade someone to buy from your site rather than getting in their car and driving to Big 5 to buy the same thing?

consumertreehouse,
Thanks for the question. We are going after the youth leagues, high schools, and colleges who are repeat customers of sporting goods. Meaning they don't run to Wal-Mart when their can of tennis balls are dead; they order in bulk before the season begins and are in stock for the duration. We are concentrating more on these markets rather than the casual athlete.
Also, we are capable of carrying some specialty products such as high-altitude tennis balls, and other hard-to-find goods that Big 5 does not carry. I know our site makes no mention of it at the moment, but we do offer the service of branding a customer's logo on any kind of ball.
crackah,
Rather than bashing it, why don't you offer a solution as I kindly asked?
