The easiest question is - what makes you think you can do a better job than sites like BBC and CNN?

Are you doing anything different to get breaking news from sources other than the commonly known ones?

This site will be different because it will become known as THE DESTINATION site for breaking news...we have the best SEO team working on it and the results thus far are extremely impressive...just on the small build out we've done thus far....

We also see A LOT of citizen journalism assisting here with the advent use of cell phones, video phones, etc. we can update news much quicker than a major broadcaster.....in addition, BreakingNews.com allows you to customize the way you see the news you want...

BreakingNews.com alerts are also being tested now so that you can be alerted about the news you care about and not be bothered with topics you have no interest in...

How does this sound so far? Any other ideas for BreakingNews.com ?

that is the website i use for Australian news, and international news.
i also use it for breaking news. One of Australia's most popular sites.

i don't care if i miss breaking news by 5,10, or 30 minutes as i'm probably going to see it on tv later that day...........

i think it would be different if i were EXPECTING a particular news front to happen...

eg, the sale of a company or the invention of cold fusion..haha..
or stock market collapse.....

Nice job. The second version is much better. I don't get my news from the Internet but do track subjects I'm interested in. Just keep the animated flash advertisements turned off and I'll use it.
