I'd like to ask how you got started with posts and who posted? Was it people you knew, or did you have to round up some posts yourself? You have like 1700+ posts. How did you start that out?

hi. I am genuinly pleased with the colour scheme and the layout. However not everyone would like to make all that effort to join a forum to talk about fixing appliances. You have selected a very very narrow target audience.

Hi pentupentropy,

Thank you for taking the time to look at out site.
To start out I created a number of "How to" type post on our forums.

At the time I was also helping out on a couple of the other top two appliance repair forums. Them two site are paid to post type forums. Members there pay something like $5.00/yr to be able to post, but they can read the forums for free.

The Appliance Blog

The Samurai Appliance Repair Forums

The owners of them other two forums were kind enough to let me include my web site in my sig line.

Hi opportunitize,

Thanks for checking out the site. Glad you like the way out site looks.

Yes, you are correct that we have selected a very narrow target audience, but being a appliance technician myself for over 20 years it's something I know and can help others with. Visitors only need to join to post. Anyone looking for help can read the other post and click our affiliate links.

The online appliance parts business is very large.

Ummm... narrow target market? It's called a niche. It's one of the largest trends in online platforms to date. I think it's going to go places. Have you thought about making up some posters to mail to appliance stores? Perhaps some put up on billboards in places like Wal-Mart (by billboards I mean pressboards)

Stuff like that?

I bet it would bring you even more traffic
