Which host is right for you?

So for the last few weeks I have been researching hosting companies trying to find just the right one for me. So I went ahead and compiled a list for those of you who want a website but just cant find that reliable source.

    #1. HostICan
HostICan. More like HostIsPerfect. This is the last hosting provider I tried and I must say, Wow!. This is by far the most reliable, fastest, easiest to use company I have found yet. I wrote a complete overview of this company Here. So if you are interested, read my in-depth review to find out all about this company and its amazing hosting. 10/10.

    #2. HostMonster
If I had to rate this hosting company, I would honestly give it a 7/10. Yes, it was easy to set up, yes the control panel worked just fine, yes the rates were fine, but the one thing that ruined this company is their support. I called in 3 times with problems, 3 times I was put on hold for about 15 minutes at a time, and 3 times I spoke with a "grumpy" employee. Now this may not concern some of you, however it was a huge down side in my eyes. If you want to see their rates, services, etc. just check out their site Here.

    #3. BlueHost
I need just say one thing: Owned by the same people as HostMonster. So yes, with BlueHost you will get a good host, a domain name, a nice rate, but once again if you care at all about support, watch out. I wont go too in-depth about blue host just because they are almost identical to HostMonster.

    -----------

Now here are some hosts that I have never personally used but have been recommended to me by others:

    GoDaddy
    APTHost
    WebHostingBuzz
    HostGator
    HostingZoom

    Host to NOT USE:
    1and1

If you are interested in reading in-depth reviews for any of the hosts other than HostICan, they are pretty easy to find. Just google "HostName Reviews" and you should find plenty of useful links.

    So just a brief overview:
    HostICan - 10/10
    HostMonster - 7/10
    Bluehost - 7/10

I hope some of you find this helpful!

    Regards
    Brian

**Note: I know some of you may have had different experiences with each of these companies. Please make a separate thread if you wish to support them. I am just giving my honest review based on my own experience.

I use Hytek Hosting, and they have been great for me. I use them with my site, and two other companies that I do work for. They haven't let us down at all and when I we needed customer support they were courteous and quick.

You can check them out at HyTek Hosting, LLC

I would recommend Dreamhost. (can't post link since I am a noobie but dreamhost.com)

They are absolutely amazing in the customer service and their packages have a great bang for your buck. They also offer a great deal of easy ways to increase your space if your site hits it big.

Check them out. PM me and I can send you a rec link, but I would say check them out if you don't rec me for it.

i am with Total Server Solutions - Tweaking, Securing, Monitoring. We do it all., they manage my server also. i honestly say go with a company that offers ssh/telnet. i have clients with godaddy and others you have mentioned, i like their user interface but i like having control over my hosting. the more control over your site the better.

Hostgator is good in my opinion (and certainly well known) but to my knowledge they don't offer ffmpeg hosting in case you want to launch a site that plays youtube type videos. You can't go wrong with Godaddy as I don't think you'll ever have to worry about downtime. I've been with AptHost.com for a couple years now and support is excellent.. Even at midnight you can get on the chat and there is someone to help you out. I don't think I'll ever leave AptHost

Webhostingpad.com - Reliable web hosting for only $3.95/mo offers the most space and bandwith. Not to mention, great service.

    1,200 GB space
    12,000 GB bandwith

    HostGator is the best.

Regarding your list, I've tried HostICan, and I very much disliked their service. They were ultra-slow and unprofessional. The only thing I liked about them was the fast refund (although it took them around 72 hrs). By the way, I think we can all tell that you have your affiliate links in there. Sneaky.

I've also tried your #3 spot, BlueHost. I didn't like it, too slow with setup.

GoDaddy sucks in my opinion. Way too much upselling, I got sick and tired of it, and they're overpriced on a lot of things. Plus, their technical service reps barely have much technical expertise. I used them for 3 years until I figured it out. They have really good marketing though. The only thing I use them for now is domains occasionally, or tdnam.com

    Hi,

I wasn't happy with anyone when I started my company in 1998 (I used Digiweb, originally), so I started my own hosting operations. If anyone needs help, feel free to let me know.
