What's your favorite web host provider?

What are everyone's most widely used and favorite web host providers? What makes them better than others? What would make a perfect web host service? Is a perfect web host provider even possible in our continuous innovative society?

    Let's hear it!

    Koz,
I'm using Hostgator with no complaints. Easy to use and get around in. However I'm not running any super high traffic sites or anything more complicated than Wordpress so not sure if it is lacking beyond that.

I've heard good things about Hostgator. I found TheBlueKingdom.com to have good pricing, $3.99. I also like the marketing tool options they offer, if you are looking to drive traffic.

I use StartLogic and Site Ground.
Start Logic has been great for the things we need - databases, setup, cpanel ease, etc.
Site Ground is great if you're using a CMS like Drupal or Joomla, etc... they have it all pre-loaded so it saves you a ton of headaches in the long run.

I've been working online for around 5 years now and I must say I don't have a a favorite webhost.

I haven't used any of the above web host's but may do in the future.

    I've used:

dotable - they were taken over by a larger company and my costs went up 40%.

Reseller Guru - poor service. Emails would arrive a day or two after they wre sent.

Spirit Connect - Customer Service was good, a little pricey and my website would be down for no apparent reason on a regular basis.

I'm currently using Flexi Hosting and the jury is still out on them.

    axeray,

I'll have to check out Flexi Hosting, never heard of them. If Flexi Hosting doesn't work out, check out TheBlueKingdom.com. I think you'll find the price and service to be right on. Thanks for the post.

    A vote for Hostgator

I've used Hostgator for the past few years, no complaints.

A very good company and they have a phone # too.
and are quick to respond to emails.

    Not like Hostm (very bad)

Well, my favorite pretty obviously is simplehelix.com. As it turns out this company uses litespeed server which is 5 or 7 times faster than Apache. This company is optimized for application hosting due to its collection of 1-click auto-installers.

I have found TheBlueKingdom.com to be the most convenient host when it comes to navigating their site and understanding what you are getting from a web host provider.

As it turned out, one of my favorite hosting providers is hqhost. They are flexible enough and I am happy with their uptime and speed which is what ultimately matters. IT technicians are well-trained and absolutely committed to my satisfaction.
