I've used Verve hosting in the past but found them to be iffy at best. Now I stick wtih Godaddy and I can use coupon codes to save money on everything. For hosting I use either RRTV1 for 10% off or RRTV2 for $5 off orders of $30 or more. Works for me.

KISS - keep it simple stupid!
    LOL.
    Happy new year.

For small projects, I prefer to use Dayana Host services. I believe this company is stable enough to satisfy all your specific requirements and keep your web sites always online.

    Internet Hosting

    Hey koz4change,

I use 1and1.com and hostgator. I like 1and1 because I can upload without using a separate ftp. Hostgator however has a more robust control panel. 1and 1 is cheaper but I use it for landing pages.

Anyone know if and where one can find cupons for hostgator?

Is their service realiable? Can one add SSL (I want to use online payment for my business) for subdomains or does one need dedicated IP's for those as well?

I am using various hosts. Hostgator, bluehost, One, private hosting and I also have hosted on own server. I must say that I like hostgator and bluehost best. Althogh... Bluehost is a pain in the a** when/if one want to move the domain.

Hostgator have always been giving me good support and no matter what one choose I would recommend going for some that offers a c-panel.

I have heard people complain that hostgator i expensive but I think that the prices is pretty much the same for all of them or at leas there's verry little that varries. Instead one should focus on what suport one get cause when needing it it's defineatly worth a dollar more.

At the moment my first choice would be hostgator.

If wanting to add SSL you either have to get your own and then you also will need an dedicated IP. If going for the shared one most of them offers it's normally no problem. Don't use that for your landing pages but instead for paymentgateways where it really doesn't matter if it's a shared SSL or not. One can also load the payment form in an iframe so it doesn't show directly the adress. From SEO perspective iframes isn't what one want to use but then... How many would want once payment form indexed? One should stop indexing for those for searchengine useless pages anyway to not divide the valuable link juice over too many pages.

As it turned out, my favorite web hosting provider is a2hosting pretty obviously. They offer really affordable and wide range of hosting solutions. Besides, they always offer many discounts because customers' safety is the main goal for them.

Thanks for the info! I have found TheBlueKingdom.com to have great service and it's easy to move a domain.
