    web hosting

I'm searching for a nice shared web hosting, my sites have this specs:
    - 1 GB of space and growing
    - 12 GB of bandwidth and growing
    - Multiple domains (I've 3 right now, one is international .ec)
    - FTP downloads (I don't know if I need a dedicated IP or an anonymous FTP for that)

Other than that, I don't use a lot of emails.. I use some small MySQL database.. but I don't want a hosting with a LOT of features (like bluehost or ixwebhosting) if is gonna oversell a lot and later the site is to slow.

I want a hosting that doesn't fail, not a hosting with a lot of stuff that I'm nt gonna use. Any suggestions are really appreciated.

Are you looking for something free or paid? What is your budget? Do you prefer servers in the U.S., Europe, or elsewhere? Depending on your budget, there are a few I can recommend to you. I will wait for your reply.

I currently use Hostgator, only because of the 24/7 live support. There are plenty of free webhosts out there, just make sure that the are reliable. Also, keep in mind, You Get What You Pay For!

True, support is key and with free hosts it will be lacking.

Free hosting isn't reliable and what support can you expect from them?

I'd say try Lypha.com - I used them for a little bit and they were good. I only moved because when it came to pay the bill for another year, I didn't have the funds. Maybe I'll go back to them again here sooner or later.

For me choosing the best web host that can run smoothly to your OS is very important. You also need to consider the marketability of the product so you need to consider choosing the host that have plenty of features because such host can attract potential buyers later on. It doesn't mean that such host with greater number of saleability will be slow in the future because technology is innovation and such reason is the key of the product to give good results for better customer service. Thus, for me, you need to choose host that are salable and maintain its competitiveness in the market today

I would suggest that please don't go with free webhosting. Spend some money for paid hosting & enjoy better hosting. You can choose which host you want to go with, WINDOWS or LINUX.
