Transferring domains from GoDaddy

How long after registering a domain can you sell it on?

I've registered domains and then sold them less than an hour later so I would say you can sell it within 20 minutes or so. You just need enough time for your purchase to process at your registrar. Godaddy is pretty good with domain registration and they are usually very fast with processing.

The transfer process, however, if done between two different registrars can take up to 5 days. If you are transferring it between accounts at the same registrar it is usually less than 10 minutes.

So if I brought a domain I could sell it to someone else within an hour or two?

Yes, you should be able to. If you are using Godaddy, it should be ready to sell within 10-15 minutes even.
