Hi. I just wanted to know your thoughts on reseller hosting. Do you think its a good money making business?

Depends. Your reputation is based on the quality of the host you choose. If its not your primary business it will be slow. I got my start in reseller hosting, then moved on to managed dedicated hosting, then unmanaged dedicated hosting. So yes if you have a source of hosting clients its not really difficult to make money. If you do not have a source of clients it is a very competitive field and I would not recommend getting into it.
But yes, you can make money off it. PM me if you have any questions or are interested in talking about a plan.

Well i have an hosting company already in mind and there hosting plans are one of the best. I dont have a source of clients but im sure advertsing will do the job dont you think. I get to keep 100% profits as well.

choose wisely, many hosting providers out there are not good.
It will be very expensive to advertize in this field. There are a lot of hosting companies. If you want to win in such s competitive field, you have to offer something new for your future customers.
which reseller hosting won't provided, you offer just what everyone else offers typically.
Use reseller hosting as a launching pad to get a client base. If your going to sell to the general public to get started, go small. I started with $2/month for 50mb and 500mb bandwidth and sold an account a month. Not a lot but in two months it was paying for itself. (All of $24/month)
Its a very very hard market to break into. I have just restarted advertising campaigns to see how the world is looking right now, but in general I meet and talk with all my clients. People just 'wandering' in off the internetz is very rare.

I did a little host reselling a while back so that i could offer the service to clients who i had developed sites for. Since i had a decent network of friends who were also web developers i was able to offer hosting to their clients as well.
Never really turned into a huge business since i focused mostly on development. But it did prove to me that many service providers including freelance web developers, graphic designers, and business consultants are frequently asked about where to host their sites. In fact, my tax guy asked me about hosting options when i did my taxes this year, turned out he has many clients who ask the same thing - to a tax guy! I wonder how many others like him are asked the same thing.
So while the market is very saturated - you may find help in contacting these service providers and work out some kind of referral fee. Might be a cheaper way to start out since you can save a bit on marketing.
This is how I started my business and how the vast majority of my long-term and good client come to my services. I have worked out referral deals with a few designers who I provide with free hosting (hey they have to use me to be able to vouch for me) and a modest referral commission.

Well, you know, reselling is really profitable online business, but you have to be experienced enough in order to succeed in it. Also the hosting provider you are going to resell from should be reliable and provide stable work like espinda. Moreover, you should learn all existing steps of promoting your business. You will have nice reseller opportunities if you choose it.
if you're a designer, you can resell hosting to clients but if you're just trying to sell hosting as a reseller you won't succeed.
You will have a lot of competition who can offer cheaper prices than yours and provide better support
