I thought about offering it with my web design services, but from what I've read, hosting is a very saturated market and is hard to turn a decent profit from.

Yeah. Renting out dedicated servers and trying to resell hosting accounts is a very good business. To many people are doing it so the only way you can get customers is if you offer dirt cheap prices. Most of the people that can offer these prices get their hosting from overseas companies in places like Pakistan which usually have tons of downtime.

Yeah i though it might be a really busy marketplace, it seems everything i know about and look into is really busy and running out of ideas. I was also before going to start a video game site selling games and did some research and there just too much competition from the big boys.

You can get started with a few clients and see how it goes. No big investment is needed these days. Here's a list of cheap reseller hosting providers.

More of the "market is saturated" stuff... In any business worth being in, you are going to have competition, and probably lots of it.

Anyway, web designers can make a nice side revenue stream offering hosting to their clients. In my experience, most businesses are more than happy to have everything - domain, hosting, design, SE O, etc. - handled by the same person. Makes everything simpler for them, even if it's more expensive.

We typically charge around $25/mo for hosting. Our hosting is definitely higher quality than your average shared plan or something like that, but that's still a lot more than we could get as a standalone hosting company for the same package.

Every business i am looking into at the moment is really saturated its just having that spark to get the customers coming in, and this is my problem i want a steady amount of customers but are people really after a website that often this is why the hosting idea made sence as when you have a customer you also get there monthly domain cost coming in,

emantica, the GoDaddy reseller plans are not very good. You will not receive much support or help from GoDaddy, the template sites they give you are very crappy in terms of design, and the hosting plans are not competitive. This is a path I would not recommend, having done this myself several years ago.
