Do hosts usually bill monthly, or charge you for the whole year/2year contract up front?

But how can you be sure in hosting company's reliability?
Think it's better to pay per month and then per year.

As usual, cheap hosting packages are paid yearly. More expensive and advanced plans can be offered on manual basis. To reduce a risk just either test company's services within a trial period or pay monthly!

It's usually a little cheaper when paid yearly, but some hosts also offer monthly billing.
For example HostGator offer the first month for one cent when you use this HostGator coupon, and then you pay monthly afterwards.
