    LLLL.com and traffic

I was doing my homework and I found that lll.com and llll.com sell fast and well. why do they cost so much? while they sometimes dont make any sense.
I am about to buy a bulk but I want more info before closing the deal.
I am also parking some of my domain with sedo.com how do I promote a domain with no contents in order to increase my revenue

LLL and LLLL is a simple supply and demand issue. People want shorts domain names for businesses, but the domainers practically scooped up all the LLL's and LLLL's; so they need to cough over some big bucks to get them.

But I agree with you, I'd rather have CoolDomain.com than TQUR.com.

Parking will never really bring in a lot of traffic unless you have a great popular keyword domain name, such as DietPlans.com or whatever. Many people are now suggesting you develop the domain with some releveant content and then market it; instead of just parking and crossing your fingers someone stumbles upon it.

LLL has been selling well because a lot of companies have 3 letter acronyms. A lot DON'T have 4 letter ones, so LLLLs are not selling so well.
The price of them has nothing to do with anything other than perceived value.

I know that someone made an offer of $5k to the owner of XKCD... Seeing as it's a webcomic though, he held on to it (probably making that much per month in merchandise. It's a REALLY popular comic).
