I personally use Dreamhost because their introductory cost is just too good to pass on. You can read about the ideal web hosts that we recommend at 5 Ideal Web Hosts That I Recommend To New Comers | Moola Days

I would recommend you to check globaltap.com web hosting plans because this company is flexible and it is able to meet all your demands on favorable terms. It is a host which understands your specific needs.

Some of the more popular Web hosts include hostgator.com, site5.com, and others. Almost all Web hosts now include a site builder with their service, so there is not really a pertinent need to use a third-party, off-line product (especially for a simple Website).

Generally, you can get started with paid, shared Web hosting for about $4-$5 per month. (Just keep in mind that many hosts require 1 or 2 years' payment up-front for their best monthly rate.)

I use a mixture of tools, hosts, registrars etc...

Personally I have to pay bills for lots of different hosts- as you can imagine, running a host requires a lot of storage and bandwidth, however I also have VPS's to test out new software and keep learning (you can never do enough of that!)

I'm also with six domain registrars, and now I've found that Namecheap is the best for me. It's simple, easy to use and compared to GoDaddy, it's very very easy!

As for a 'web maker', I use NotePad++. I'm also a coder, so since NotePad++ shows lines, has Syntax hi-light and lots more it's ideal for me, however I'm assuming you're new to this, and so something such as dreamweaver may be more suitable for you (though it's an expensive piece of kit, which frankly, notepad is just as good- if not better!)

Furthermore, some hosts offer auto-installers for software such as Wordpress/Joomla/Forums (MyBB) etc... and Site creators. This aren't bad and are a good way of introducing users to the world on web-design/management (:

I use many web hosting companies but HostGator has been the best for me. You can get 25% off with the coupon code HIGHESTCOUPON

I think that there are should be more candidates.
For shared hosting I would name jollyworkshosting.com
    For reseller: hostgator.com
    For eCommerce hosting: simplehelix.com
    For VPS: hostrail.com
    For SEO hosting: webhostforseo.com
    For dedicated servers: pinellashosting.com.

So if we are talking about the best web hosting company - there are should be at lest several ratings up.

I would say Godaddy - simply because of their customer service. They answer the phone at any time.

Their commercials suck though - why can't they hire attractive models instead of masculine looking chicks.

From my past experience I have to say that ajkservers.co.uk is the best VPS provider, because they offer good choice for the OS and location.
