I did not see the value in Twitter in the beginning, but now it is as powerful as Facebook.

I've been getting tonnes of traffic from Twitter by getting other people to tweet about me instead of doing it myself. Search for the moretweets thread on this forum.

Just signed up recently to Twitter and have already started seeing the benefits in terms of driving traffic to my site/blog and things that are of interest.

Keep tweeting and like with everything else on the internet, once you have interesting tweets, your followership would increase over time. Also use the stats tool on URL shortners like Tiny & Bitly analyze the kind of followership you're getting on your Tweet

Hope that helps?
Regards,

You should check out twellow.com. It's like yellow book for twitter. You can search every industry and even search for people that live in your area. Post some useful information and follow people that interest you. If they see that you are an interesting individual most people will follow you back

All the information is great just be sure you are adding value to the conversation as opposed to spam. Tweetdeck is also a great way to track changes on Twitter.

Twitter can be great. All those scams on Twitter are pretty annoying, though. Here's a Huge List of Twitter Applications

Save some time searching for all of them yourself...

Yup- Twitter is one of those things (like relationships! duh) that grow with time.

Engage and provide good info- people will recognize it.
