Somewhat complicated SEO Question (for me at least)

I'm starting to work on optimizing internal pages to one of my sites. This gets a little complicated do to the fact that I actually bill my clients (non-profits) for the optimization work (based on fees against income generation).

Here is the main domain
Donate A Car | Charity Dispatch | Donate Used Car
I've been optimizing this main page for about 1 year and have seen good resulots based on that.

I have two flagship clients- Goodwill and the Red Cross so I had two landing pages created (this is what I'm thinking about optimizing). But the problem is if I optimize these pages there are actually clients listed that don't all pay the same fee structure and some that I do not have agreements to bill back to.

Here are the landing pages:
Goodwill: Donate Your Car to Goodwill With Help From the Goodwill Vehicle Donation Directory
Red Cross: Donate Your Car to Red Cross With our help!

Now from each of those landing pages I have the individual clients such as: Donate Your Car to the Goodwill of Greater Washington Goodwill of Greater Washington.

So on the Goodwill page I have three clients two of which are full service (full fee clients) and the third is not. So if I spend the money to optimize the landing page one of the Goodwill Chapters will get free advertising that I gut stuck paying for with no way of collecting revenues against.

This is the same with Red Cross where I have eight clients but only one full service client.

I thought about just optimizing the individual clients in conjunction with large PPC Campaigns... but I don't know if that is the best long term plan.

Does this make sense to anyone? Anyone have any input?

Sorry the only other idea I had was to spend all my money on optimizing the main home page and going from there. I'm currently spending $6000 a month on optimization but I'm thinking about going up to $10,000. I want to make sure I get the most out of my additional investment.

Also, does anyone know anything about brand building as an SEO tool? Things like Twitter and internal blogs?

Ok I am going to take a crack at this, because I only see one thing you can do.

Since all three pages have a different number of backlinks, and you only have a couple full service clients, why don't you work on building backlinks for those clients, and not your other clients? Backlinks are an important part of off site optimization, but building backlinks isn't as expensive as you think, I have some service if interested (legal services ) but that is really the only thing you can do different to each website besides the PPC, which can get expensive REALLY Quick.

As far as the brand building, i have a lot of experience with this. Before I took over as internet marketer, we (softwaretech.com) were getting around 600 unique visitors to our site per month. I suggested that we give our whole company a new look and feel, and it seems like our customers responded. We redesigned the logo, our stationary, our website, and the feedback has been tremendous, along with the optimization that I have done. With all that, we have hit 3,000 unique visitors a month and working on 5 this month.

I feel like you don't need to spend so much money on PPC if your site is optimized for the search engines. We get our main traffic from keywords such as time and attendance software (number 1 - 3,200 searches monthly), attendance software (number 1 2,800 searches monthly), and this has worked for us. I would say concentrate on a few major, long-tail keywords and start building backlinks.

Not only that, but we included a blog which gets around 1,000 unique visitors per month and is steadily moving up the blog rankings. I think that the blog gives your website a more personal feel to it, a face almost. I feel like it's almost a must-have for any website now-a-days, and it's easy to maintain.

To sum everything up, build your backlinks to the sites that matter, don't overuse your PPC, and get into blogging - but don't forget to comment on others blogs (also builds backlinks if the blog is do follow).

Here is a little more info (I've been working on this all fn-day)

I have an agreement with three different clients to spend a certain amount of money advertising their programs each year (July 1 to June 30). Here is what I have to spend in the next six months to meet my agreement.

The answer to the original question may make more sense when financial's are involved as I'm trying to maximize my ROI and my clients income.

Client 1 - $60,000
Client 2 - $40,000
Client 3 - $40,000

I can use any advertising mediums I want. I've previously used radio and print but realized I was building no long term value. As soon as the commercial was over with my money was gone. So in my mind SEO gives me the best long term value. PPC gives me the best instant return (on completed transactions).

Another thing to consider is that my contracts are annual and renew automatically with that being said it is possible for a client to end their contract if they choose so. So if I optimize their page for a year and then they leave I'm out all of that money. This is where the idea came for the landing pages (1 for Goodwill and 1 for Red Cross). By doing that I don't put my investment at jeopardy. If one leaves at least the rest share in the value.

With that being said I guess the question comes down to spending my entire budget on optimizing the main domain for all clients or optimizing the landing pages. I think I've already talked my self out of optimizing the individual pages. I will use those solely for PPC landing pages in each of the market segments I'm in.

If I had all the money in the world and instant ROI wasn't a necessity this wouldn't be such a tough question. When I do my planning I always think long term over short. The problem is this economy is making it harder and harder to think like that.

Search engine won't bother about age of your site.It always checks for back links and keywords and all those stuff.Do social bookmarking for your site you will get good traffic as well as quality back links.

Wow... you're amazingly wrong.
Age is actually a VERY important factor for getting a decent TR, never mind PR, out of Google, and MSN treats domain age pretty seriously too.

Matter of fact, an old domain will generally do better than a new one, even if it's slightly outlinked.

Finally, not all links are good. Links from sandboxed sites will actually have a parasitic effect on your site, and this has been used in cases of cyber extortion.
A certain well known car company found this out the hard way.

Age also matters much in Google also,
social bookmarking and Press Release will help you to get good traffic, use link building and article marketing
