SEO for Site Not Set Up Correctly

Dear All,

I am totally new to SEO and am trying to attract more unique visitors to my site. Therefore, I am starting to hire freelancers to help out by getting some backlinks. I have read a lot on SEO and the process (ie go through by finding your keywords, getting backlinks, social bookmarks, etc...). But one of my bidders indicated that my site is not correctly setup for SEO and that backlinks won't help. Would anyone know what that is meant by? My site is baby-line(dot)com. If you have time, please take a look. Any and all constructive comments welcome. Thanks for any help in advance.

Hey Dan,

I don't really know exactly what they were talking about, but it might be that permalinks in the url aren't set up. What that means is that search engines have trouble getting past the '?' in the url string.

What type of content management system is it running on? A shopping cart system?

SEO is pretty simple as long as you do the keyword research in advance and know what people are actually typing into the search engines..

sosfungd, since its a worldpress site, download their SEO plug ins and you will be fine. I would guess he is trying to sell you some of his other services.

Yeap that bidder is right, your site have no Backlink and URL and others stuff are not setup properly. I will just give one simple advise, don't start working on BL before you work on URL and rest.
