Smile Need help marketing my site!

Hi all,

I've been trying to market my site, CutPricePhone.com and have got to the point where i need some help as i am relatively new at this. It is a UK mobile phone affiliate site built on an iframe.

Being an iframe, it is incredibly hard to optimise for the search engines and receives very minimal organic traffic. I receive most of my sales through classified ads on ebay. AdWords has also proved unsuccessful and a huge waste of money! Google Base had me stumped really. I have the data feeds necessary but the whole process left me completely puzzled. Although, i think this could be a winner for the pay as you go side of things. I have tried by advertising 4 or 5 pay as you go handsets on GumTree recently... no sales from there yet but it's early days still.

Also, i seem to be selling solely Pay as you go phones recently as they are easier to market and convert leads into sales. Although it is the contracts that i want to be selling as the commission is 10 times as much! So i need to sell 10 PAYG handsets to reach the profit i would achieve from 1 contract sale!

I have hardly any budget for advertising (especially since I tried AdWords!) but am desperate for some new streams of quality traffic. This is where i could really do with some suggestions! I also need to get some sort of brand awareness and though i know i cannot compete with the big brands, i appreciate that word-of-mouth advertising is invaluable. As soon as i get some better profits coming in i am prepared to reinvest 100% of them to get my site out there.

I would really appreciate ANY advice anybody has got because i feel like i've hit a brick wall. Being young and relatively inexperienced is starting to play against me but i'm determined to not let it put me off!

Thank you in advance guys!!

Why not write several articles or a press releases about your product line.

Both are free marketing strategies.
This will help with the organic search your looking for.

Your site is not optimize right. Try creating microsites for each product.

Then have package product campaigns.

I have though about creating microsites and can see that it would be a good idea as that is where i could get some organic traffic referred to my site. However, i have little web design experience and don't have a budget to pay someone.

Also, the products we have come and go so quickly that i would have to create lots of sites quite frequently.

Any tips on where to start? Any good sitebuilders that will achieve decent organic search results?

Thanks!

Have you tried Webs - Make a free website, get free hosting or blinkweb.com

You can build sites on the fly there. There are adverts for the free sites though.

Anyway you don't have to build microsites for all the products. Be a smart marketeer. Study trends and watch what people are buying most. Watch the hottest product on sale. Once you know that lots of people are looking for it, create campaigns around this product.

Usually a hot product will get product reviews from bloggers and media coverage. Hence leverage on that. Focus on the hot products.

Don't delete your old site. Keep your current site and cross promote it after they buy or if they try to leave your site...
