I'm new here and really loving this forum. I've learned a lot so far. I would like to contribute a few things that I have learned to hopefully repay for the information I've gotten here. Hope these tidbits help!

What Does Your Website Look Like?

Is it easy to read or is it cluttered with banners ads that have nothing to do with your site? If it's too busy people may not know what your site is about.

Focus on one subject. If you jump around from one subject, to another subject, or even another subject you lose your reader's concentration. Stick to one subject so they will know why they came to your site.

How many different colors do you have on your website?

Staying with just 3 colors is your best bet. This keeps your site from looking to messy and confusing.

Keep it simple, if your site is too complicated you lose your reader's attention.

Writing Copy That Sells

What does your reader want? It's important that your copy reads from your customers point of view, step into their shoes and be them when your writing. This way you can solvewhatever problem they have.

Do you know your product? It's vitally important that you do, otherwise you will not get through to your readers. You can't sell a product you don't know anything about.

Test Your Website

You can have a great looking website but if you aren't getting any traffic then you won't make any sales. It's important to test, test, test.

Test everything, your headlines, your layout, the colors your using...everything. Testing tells you what your need to change, maybe even completely remove, or just tweek a little.

Start out with your headlines see which headline works the best, then move on to the rest of your website. It maytake a while, but it will be well worth your time and effort.
